หนึ่งในกิจกรรมสำคัญของ Burch Program คือ “Stories of Self” กิจกรรมที่เปิดโอกาสให้นักศึกษาทั้ง 20 คนจากหลากหลายภูมิหลัง ได้ร่วมแบ่งปันเรื่องราวชีวิตและทำความรู้จักกันมากขึ้น โดยในปีนี้ ทีมงาน Yunus Thailand ก็ได้ร่วมแบ่งปัน Stories of Self ของตนเอง เพื่อแลกเปลี่ยนประสบการณ์เส้นทางการเดินทางสู่การทำงานกับธุรกิจเพื่อสังคมกับนักศึกษาไปพร้อมกัน

กิจกรรมจัดขึ้นในช่วงเย็นของวันที่ 3–4 มิถุนายน ณ สำนักงาน Yunus Thailand โดยชวนทุกคนเล่าถึงประสบการณ์ คุณค่า และจุดเปลี่ยนสำคัญในชีวิตที่หล่อหลอมให้พวกเขาสนใจประเด็นทางสังคมและมุ่งมั่นที่จะสร้างการเปลี่ยนแปลง กิจกรรม Stories of Self ได้รับแรงบันดาลใจจากแนวคิด Public Narrative ของ Marshall Ganz ที่เชื่อว่าเรื่องราวส่วนตัวมีพลังในการสร้างความเข้าใจ ความเชื่อมโยง และแรงบันดาลใจให้แก่ผู้อื่น

One of the most meaningful activities of the Burch Program is “Stories of Self,” where students from diverse backgrounds come together to share their personal journeys and get to know one another on a deeper level. This year, the Yunus Thailand team also joined the sessions, sharing their own Stories of Self and reflecting on their journeys into the world of social business alongside the students.

Held over two evenings on 3 - 4 June at the Yunus Thailand office, the activity invited participants to reflect on and share the experiences, values, and pivotal moments that have shaped their commitment to social change. Stories of Self is inspired by Marshall Ganz’s Public Narrative framework, which emphasizes the power of personal stories to build understanding, foster connection, and inspire action.

Over the course of the two evenings, there were moments of laughter, tears, and heartfelt reflection as participants shared stories of hope, challenges, and aspirations. Through listening and learning from one another, both students and the Yunus Thailand team built trust, deepened connections, and laid the foundation for friendships that will continue to grow throughout their 33-day learning journey together. 🌏✨

UNC Burch Program 2026 begins! (English please read below ⬇️)

สัปดาห์ที่ผ่านมา เราได้เริ่มต้นโครงการ Burch Program รุ่นปี 2026 ของ University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (UNC) อย่างเป็นทางการ!

Burch Program เป็นโครงการความร่วมมือด้านการเรียนรู้ผ่านประสบการณ์จริงระหว่าง UNC และ Yunus Thailand ที่เปิดโอกาสให้นักศึกษาได้เรียนรู้เรื่องธุรกิจเพื่อสังคมจากการลงมือปฏิบัติจริง

ในปีนี้ นักศึกษาระดับปริญญาตรี 20 คนจากหลากหลายสาขาวิชา ได้เดินทางมาประเทศไทยเพื่อร่วมเรียนรู้ตลอด 33 วัน ผ่านการลงพื้นที่ พบปะผู้คน เรียนรู้และแลกเปลี่ยนประสบการณ์กับองค์กรและชุมชนต่าง ๆ ทั่วประเทศ เพื่อทำความเข้าใจรูปแบบโมเดลธุรกิจเพื่อสังคมที่มีอยู่ในประเทศไทย รวมถึง การพัฒนาท้องถิ่น นโยบายสาธารณะ นวัตกรรมทางสังคม และการขับเคลื่อนการเปลี่ยนแปลงจากระดับชุมชน

Last week, we proudly kicked off the 2026 cohort of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (UNC) Burch Program!

The Burch Program is a collaborative experiential learning initiative between UNC and Yunus Thailand that provides students with the opportunity to explore social business through hands-on learning and real-world experiences.

This year, 20 undergraduate students from diverse academic backgrounds have embarked on a 33-day learning journey across Thailand. Through site visits, community engagement, and exchanges with a wide range of organizations and local communities, students will explore social business models in Thailand while gaining deeper insights into local development, public policy, social innovation, and community-driven change.

We hope that this cross-cultural learning experience will inspire new ideas, broaden perspectives, and empower students to create innovative solutions that contribute to positive social impact in the future. 🌏✨

🌊 Seaweed Social Business Team Visits the National Science Museum

On 20 May, the Seaweed Social Business team, led by Cassandra Dewi Sariganon, Penpicha Kimtin, Bantita Saman, and Natthapon Kasemsun, provided the visit at the National Science Museum by Dr. Suttikarn Sutthi

The visit provided a valuable opportunity to learn more about marine life and ecosystems, while exchanging knowledge relevant to our work in seaweed-based social business and sustainable marine biodiversity.
