Grateful for the opportunity to collaborate with English Schools Foundation (ESF) in Hong Kong this past weekend!

Delivering Friday's EdTech Connect keynote was an incredible experience. We’re thankful to ESF for inviting us to share insights on ethically integrating AI into classrooms. The discussions around various use cases were truly inspiring.

Saturday’s IB English sessions were equally rewarding, and leading such an outstanding group of teachers was a sincere pleasure. Their passion for helping students achieve their potential was palpable, and the entire experience was one of the most energizing experiences David Giles and I have had since starting IB English Guys.

We hope you find our recent summative assessment feedback lesson useful. It can be adopted for many contexts and is in response to the changing ways our students are interacting with generative AI. Rather than taking the “fear” route, we are trying to embrace the technology and teach our students to use it in an ethical way. Feedback welcome.

Also, we released video five in our “Paper 2 - Start to Finish Series” on YouTube and on our website. The eight-part series uses the short stories A Family Supper (Ishiguro) and Stones (T. Findley) to lead students through the entire Paper 2 process. This could be a great mini-unit for your students or used for independent study. We’re almost done and expect to complete the series in the next 3 weeks.
