Center of Innovation for Society or CIS CIS is a unit in Technology University.

We have focused on three main important issues, human development, Knowledge Creation, Knowledge Transfer.

CIS was found in 2019 by the group of people from school of architecture and design, faculty of engineer, with the advice from key persons in education and business areas in Thailand, Japan, and Singapore. It makes CIS connect to various educational and business partnerships in Thailand and other countries.

🇸🇬 Strengthening Partnerships, Growing Global Learning 🌏✨

Asst. Prof. Pronyos Chattarakul, Head of the Center of Innovation for Society (CIS), KMUTT, was invited to meet with the team from Careers & Global Immersion, Ngee Ann Polytechnic.

For many years, CIS and Ngee Ann Polytechnic have worked closely together through overseas immersion programs, student internships, academic workshops, and cross-cultural learning experiences. Through this collaboration, we have not only created meaningful opportunities for students, but also learned so much from Ngee Ann Polytechnic’s forward-thinking educational policies, strong ex*****on, and inspiring approach to global learning.

We are always grateful and happy to work, learn, and grow together with our friends at Ngee Ann Polytechnic.

🇹🇭🇯🇵 On 18–19 February, SDI and CIS were honored to welcome distinguished delegates from Chiba University and Capital Medica Ventures, marking a meaningful step forward in strengthening entrepreneurship education at King Mongkut's University of Technology Thonburi.

Beyond institutional collaboration, this visit became a powerful learning moment for our students.

Supitcha and Piyapong from the Design Innovation (DIP) Program, currently joining CIS and SDI as DIPS students, presented their design process and user study findings for the Sakon Grow digital communication platform. Their presentation demonstrated deep user insight, scenario development, and a clear articulation of service value — bridging rural farmers with HORECA businesses in urban areas.

The project aims to develop a UX/UI-driven online platform that creates a new demand–supply matching mechanism for green economy development — connecting local agricultural producers with city-based markets through thoughtful digital design.

Through constructive feedback from international experts, our students gained invaluable perspectives to further refine their work — aligning business feasibility with meaningful social impact.

🇸🇬🇹🇭 The Living Dye Lab is a modular, open-air kiosk designed as a hands-on space where dyeing is experienced as a living process. Rather than presenting indigo as a finished product, the installation reveals how color gradually emerges through time, air, movement, and human touch—inviting visitors to observe, experiment, and participate.

Presented at SOS Bangkok Design Week 2026, the project transformed traditional dyeing into a shared spatial learning experience. The modular framework supports demonstration, exhibition, and hands-on engagement—bridging craft, architecture, and community through making and witnessing change together.

Developed through international collaboration and academic–practice exchange within the FabLab Bangkok, CIS, and Klongsan MAKE ecosystem.
