The Taiwan–Thailand Smart Technology Collaboration Center (TTSTC) was established by the Faculty of Dentistry, Mahidol University, in collaboration with National Cheng Kung University (NCKU). Located at the Faculty of Dentistry, Mahidol University, the center serves as a hub for research and innovation collaboration between Thailand and Taiwan. Originally established as the Taiwan Center for Smart Healthcare Science and Technology in Thailand (TCSMH), the center initially focused primarily on smart healthcare technology. In 2023, it was renamed TTSTC and expanded its scope of collaboration to cover a broader range of areas.
NCKU was established in 1931 in Tainan and is renowned for its strengths in engineering, technology, and innovation. The university has more than 280 students and was ranked 191st in the world in 2026. It also received the No. 1 ranking in the national “Enterprises’ Favorite University Students” award.
During the meeting, the delegation proposed several potential areas of collaboration, including academic conferences, student and staff exchange programs, double-degree programs, and joint research projects. Both parties agreed further to discuss possible areas of collaboration through their respective coordinators. Following the discussion, Associate Professor Dr. Chamaipak Maiklad presented a token of appreciation to Prof. Fong-Chin Su. The meeting concluded with a group photo to commemorate the occasion.

Kasetsart University Welcomes Delegation from Asia Eastern University of Science and Technology, Taiwan

On Monday, 3 August 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., at Meeting Room 9, 2nd Floor, Kasetsart University Golden Jubilee Administration and Information Center, Kasetsart University (KU) warmly welcomed a delegation from Asia Eastern University of Science and Technology (AEUST), Taiwan, led by Professor Mao-Chuan Huang, President, during their official visit to discuss opportunities for expanding academic collaboration between the two universities.

The AEUST delegation also included Mr. Hung-Hsi Kuo, Secretary General; Professor Shang-Ming Lin, Dean of the College of Engineering; Mr. Mu-Chuan Su, Director of Industrial and Commercial Design; Assistant Professor Mei-Hui Liao, Department of Nursing; and Associate Professor Yi-Jun Pan, Department of Materials and Textiles. The visit aimed to strengthen academic cooperation in education, research, faculty and student exchanges, as well as other mutually beneficial collaborative initiatives.

The visit also marked an important milestone in building upon the long-standing collaboration between the Department of Textile Science, Faculty of Agro-Industry, Kasetsart University, and Kasetsart Agricultural and Agro-Industrial Product Improvement Institute (KAPI) with AEUST. It further sought to elevate this partnership to the university level, creating opportunities for broader collaboration among faculties and academic disciplines with shared strengths in education, research, and academic exchange.

On this occasion, Associate Professor Dr. Chamaipak Maiklad, Vice President for International Affairs, welcomed the delegation and presented an overview of Kasetsart University, highlighting its internationalization strategy and global engagement initiatives. She emphasized the importance of strengthening partnerships with leading universities worldwide to promote education, research, innovation, and the exchange of faculty members, researchers, and students, fostering sustainable development and long-term mutual benefits.

Professor Mao-Chuan Huang expressed his sincere appreciation for the warm hospitality extended by Kasetsart University and introduced AEUST, a private university of science and technology located in New Taipei City, Taiwan. Established in 1968, AEUST is recognized for its strengths in engineering, information technology, healthcare, design, and materials and textiles, with a strong emphasis on practice-oriented education, industry collaboration, and innovation. He also expressed keen interest in learning more about Kasetsart University's internationalization initiatives, academic development, and research achievements, with a view to expanding future collaboration between the two institutions.

Following the institutional presentations, representatives from both universities engaged in productive discussions on potential areas of collaboration, including engineering, science and technology, textiles, nursing, design, research and innovation, curriculum development, academic activities, and the exchange of students, faculty members, and researchers, Initial joint endeavors will focus on student, faculty, and researcher exchanges, commencing with short-term student mobility, administrative study visit, and the formalization of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU).

The visit reflected the shared commitment of Kasetsart University and Asia Eastern University of Science and Technology to strengthening institutional ties and expanding university-wide academic collaboration. Building upon the existing partnership established by the Department of Textile Science, Faculty of Agro-Industry, both universities look forward to developing collaborative projects involving additional faculties and academic units, paving the way for broader international cooperation in the years ahead.

The 2nd Symposium between Kasetsart University and Southwest Forestry University
On Friday, 24 July 2026, at 10:30 a.m., at the Kamphol Adulavidhaya Conference Room, on the 2nd floor of the Kasetsart Golden Jubilee Administration and Information Center Building, Kasetsart University, Bangkhen Campus, Asst. Prof. Dr. Khongsak Thiangtum, D.V.M., Acting President of Kasetsart University, delivered the opening remarks and officially welcomed participants to "The 2nd Symposium between Kasetsart University and Southwest Forestry University" under the theme "Science, Technology and Innovation for Young Agricultural and Forestry Scientists." The symposium was held from 23–25 July 2026 and brought together faculty members, researchers, and students from both Kasetsart University and Southwest Forestry University.
Following the opening ceremony, Prof. LI Jun, President of Southwest Forestry University, delivered a speech expressing his appreciation for the warm hospitality and the continued partnership between the two universities. The ceremony concluded with a souvenir exchange and a group photograph. The symposium also featured distinguished keynote speakers, including Dr. Tomi Miikka Kaakkurivaara, Lecturer from the Department of Forest Engineering, Faculty of Forestry, Kasetsart University, and Prof. ZHOU Xiaojian, Vice Dean of the College of Materials and Chemical Engineering, Southwest Forestry University.
At 12:00 p.m., the symposium continued with parallel technical sessions held in two conference rooms. Each room featured presentations organized into three parallel thematic sessions: 1 - Ecosystem Monitoring, Biodiversity Conservation, and Transboundary Research Collaboration, 2 - Youth Innovation in Digital Technologies and Smart Agriculture and Forestry, and 3 - Sustainable Utilization of Bioresources, Biotechnology, and Green Transformation.
As part of the symposium program, participants visited Kasetsart University, Bangkhen Campus, on Thursday, 23 July 2026, followed by a welcome dinner at Suan Bua Restaurant, Centara Grand at Central Plaza Ladprao Bangkok. On Saturday, 25 July 2026, participants traveled to Kasetsart University, Kamphaeng Saen Campus, for an academic study visit before returning home safely.

KU Speak Up Challenge 2026: Semi-Final Round – Prepared Speech (Individual and Team Categories)

On Wednesday, 22 July 2026, from 09:00 to 13:00 hrs., the International Affairs Division, Office of the University, Kasetsart University, organized the semi-final round of the KU Speak Up Challenge 2026 (Prepared Speech – Individual and Team Categories) at the Sutharm Areekul Auditorium, located on the 1st floor of the Golden Jubilee Administration and Information Center Building, Kasetsart University, Bangkhen Campus. The competition was graciously presided over by Associate Professor Chamaipak Maiklad, Ph.D., the Vice President for International Affairs, who also delivered the opening remarks. The competition was held under the theme “Echoes of the World: Youth Leading the Global Call for a Sustainable Tomorrow,” and was hosted by Miss Kittiwipa Lertwitayakorn (Cat), a 2nd year student from the Faculty of Humanities, Bangkhen Campus. She is also the President of KU Student Ambassador (KUSAm) batch 8.

The KU Speak Up Challenge 2026, under the theme “Echoes of the World: Youth Leading the Global Call for a Sustainable Tomorrow,” aims to enhance public speaking skills, creativity, English language proficiency, and self-confidence among KU students. The application period was open from 19 May to 30 June 2026. This year, a total of 46 students applied: 28 in the individual category and 18 in the team category. Only the contestants who advanced to the semi-final round delivered their Prepared Speeches on the topic: “The Butterfly Effect: How Local Actions Create Global Echoes”

For the semi-final round, each contestant in the individual category gave a 5-minute speech in English, while teams delivered a 9-minute English speech. The following participants advanced to the semi-final round:

KU Joins Three Thai Universities to Enhance Elderly Care Capacity in Lao PDR
On 20 July 2026, from 9:00–10:00 a.m., Asst. Prof. Dr. Khongsak Thiangtum, D.V.M., Acting President of Kasetsart University, participated in the opening ceremony of the project entitled "Enhancing Integrated Physiotherapy Skills for Older Persons in Lao PDR: Three Thai Universities Collaborating to Create Real World Impact" at Mahidol University, Salaya Campus.
The ceremony was jointly officiated by Prof. Piyamitr Sritara, M.D., FRCP, President of Mahidol University; Asst. Prof. Dr. Khongsak Thiangtum, D.V.M., Acting President of Kasetsart University; and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Thakerng Wongsirichot, Vice President for Academic and International Affairs, Prince of Songkla University. Faculty members and staff from all three universities attended the event. During the ceremony, certificates were presented to 10 physiotherapy professionals from Lao PDR who successfully completed the training program.
On this occasion, the Acting President of Kasetsart University also gave an interview to Thai PBS, emphasizing the important role of Thai universities in strengthening the capacity of elderly care professionals through international academic collaboration and in applying academic knowledge to generate tangible benefits for society.
The training program was held from 19–25 July 2026 through the collaboration of Mahidol University, Kasetsart University, and Prince of Songkla University. It aimed to enhance the competencies of physiotherapy professionals from Lao PDR under the World Health Organization's (WHO) Integrated Care for Older People (ICOPE) framework using a Training-of-Trainers approach.
Kasetsart University contributed interdisciplinary expertise in environmental design, technology, physical activity promotion, and community healthcare through the collaboration of four faculties: the Faculty of Architecture, Faculty of Engineering, Faculty of Sports and Health Science, and Faculty of Public Health.
Participation in this project reflects Kasetsart University's commitment to integrating multidisciplinary knowledge to strengthen the capacity of healthcare professionals across the region. It also demonstrates the University's KU SYNTEGRATION vision, which seeks to create Real World Impact by translating academic knowledge into practical solutions that benefit society.

KU Signs Memorandum of Agreement with ECAM LaSalle, France
On Friday, 17 July 2026, at 09:00 a.m., at Meeting Room 9, 2nd Floor, the Golden Jubilee Administration and Information Center, Kasetsart University, the MoA signing ceremony was presided over by Asst. Prof. Dr. Khongsak Thiangtum, D.V.M., Acting President of Kasetsart University, together with Mr. Didier DESPLANCHES, Rector of ECAM LaSalle. The agreement focuses on the dual bachelor's degree program between the Automotive Engineering Program (International Program), Faculty of Engineering at Sriracha, Kasetsart University, and the Mechanical and Electrical Engineering Program at ECAM LaSalle, France.

Kasetsart University Welcomes Delegates from the University of Exeter, UK, to Strengthen Ties and Advance Academic Cooperation

On Thursday, July 16, 2026, at 12:30 p.m., Associate Professor Chamaipak Maiklad, Ph.D., Vice President for International Affairs at Kasetsart University, welcomed delegates from the University of Exeter, United Kingdom, during a courtesy call and informal discussion held at Kasetsart University.Also present at the welcoming session were Associate Professor Donludee Jaisut, Ph.D., Assistant to the President for International Affairs, and Assistant Professor Krissada Surawathanawises, Ph.D., Assistant to the President for International Affairs.

The delegation from the University of Exeter included Ms. Rachel Jones Head of International Partnerships, Business School & Faculty of Environment, Science & Economy, who is responsible for international collaboration, specifically focusing on Transnational Education (TNE) and Articulation & Progression programs. Joining her was Mr. Treenat Jaiyasarn, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Founder of Westminster International Group Co., Ltd.; and Ms. Pariyanee Asamphinphong, Head of Programme Developments & External Relations.

The purpose of the visit was to pay a courtesy call and introduce Kasetsart University's newly appointed executive team. The meeting also served as an opportunity for both institutions to explore future collaboration, with particular emphasis on expanding partnerships with the Faculty of Business Administration, Faculty of Engineering, Faculty of Environment, Faculty of Agro-Industry, and other faculties in areas of mutual academic and research interest.

This visit reflects the continued engagement between the University of Exeter and Kasetsart University in strengthening their academic partnership. The University's previous visit took place on 24 June 2024, led by Professor Richard Follett, Deputy Vice-Chancellor for Global Engagement, together with members of the senior management team, to discuss the expansion of collaboration in education, research, and academic exchange across several faculties at Kasetsart University. Earlier, Dr. Amy Williams, Regional Manager (Asia Pacific) – International Student Recruitment, also visited Kasetsart University on 19 October 2023, demonstrating the strong and ongoing partnership between the two institutions.

This meeting marks another significant step in strengthening the amicable relations between Kasetsart University and the University of Exeter. It will further support the development of future academic cooperation, joint research, and international activities, ultimately yielding mutual benefits for the faculty members, researchers, and students of both institutions. On Thursday, 16 July 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., at Meeting Room 9, 2nd Floor, the Golden Jubilee Administration and Information Center, Kasetsart University, Associate Professor Chamaipak Maiklad, Ph.D., Vice President for International Affairs, together with Assistant Professor Dr. Sombat Khaowprateep of the Department of Farm Mechanics, Faculty of Agriculture at Kamphaeng Saen Campus; Assistant Professor Amphorn Sriyabhaya., Ph.D., Dean of Faculty of Sports and Health Science; Associate Professor Chanate Malumpong, Ph.D., Associate Dean for Research, Academic Services, and International Relations, Faculty of Agriculture at Kamphaeng Saen; Assistant Professor Jutiporn Thussagunpanit, Ph.D., Assistant Dean for Research and Internationalization, Faculty of Agriculture; Assistant Professor Sombat Khawprateep, Ph.D., Department of Farm Mechanics, Faculty of Agriculture at Kamphaeng Saen; Dr. Thanankhorn Jaiphong, Assistant Dean for Innovation and Social Impact Partnerships, Faculty of Engineering at Kamphaeng Saen; Associate Professor Prathuang Usaborisut, Ph.D., Head, Department of Agricultural Engineering, Faculty of Engineering at Kamphaeng Saen; Assistant Professor Wanrat Abdullakasim, Ph.D., Department of Agricultural Engineering, Faculty of Engineering at Kamphaeng Saen; Mr. Pongphun Panmayura, Doctoral Student, Department of Agricultural Engineering, Faculty of Engineering at Kamphaeng Saen; Ms. Kanokkorn Jeerawarangkoon, Educational Services Section, Graduate School; Ms. Jariya Pholprasit, Educational Standards Assurance Section, Graduate School, and staff from the International Affairs Division, welcomed a delegation from the University of Southern Queensland (UniSQ), Australia, led by Professor John Bell, Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic and Research), and Professor Ren Yi, Pro Vice-Chancellor (International). The visit provided an opportunity for both universities to discuss expanding collaboration in academic affairs, research, and student mobility.

The purpose of this visit is to continue and expand the cooperation under the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed by both universities, focusing on developing collaboration in student exchange, promoting student mobility under the New Colombo Plan Mobility Project, establishing a Joint Seed Funding Scheme to support joint research, and promoting multilateral research collaboration between Kasetsart University, the University of Southern Queensland, and partner institutions in the People's Republic of China, in order to create an international research collaboration network.

The meeting commenced with a presentation of Kasetsart University’s introductory video. Associate Professor Dr. Chamaipak Maiklad, Vice President for International Affairs, then delivered the welcoming remarks and provided an overview of the University, including its newly established faculties, namely the Faculty of Medicine, Faculty of Nursing, and Faculty of Pharmacy. She also reaffirmed the University's commitment to strengthening and expanding academic collaboration between the two institutions. In response, Professor John Bell, Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic and Research), expressed his appreciation for the warm hospitality and congratulated Kasetsart University’s newly appointed executive management team. He also introduced the University of Southern Queensland (UniSQ), Australia, and reaffirmed UniSQ’s commitment to fostering student mobility between the two universities, both now and in the future, as well as promoting broader academic and research collaboration.

The two universities also exchanged information on their respective research strengths and strategic priorities. The University of Southern Queensland (UniSQ) is recognized for its expertise in agriculture and the environment, climate science, plant health, sustainable agricultural systems, agricultural engineering, and advanced materials, which closely align with Kasetsart University's strengths in teaching and research, particularly in agriculture, engineering, and science. These complementary areas provide a strong foundation for developing collaborative research projects, promoting faculty and researcher exchanges, and creating broader academic opportunities for students from both institutions. Furthermore, both parties discussed several avenues for expanding future collaboration, including extending partnerships to additional faculties and campuses of Kasetsart University, particularly the Sriracha Campus and Chalermphrakiat Sakon Nakhon Province Campus; enhancing collaboration through competitive research grants; initiating trilateral partnerships among Kasetsart University, the University of Southern Queensland (UniSQ), and partner institutions in the People's Republic of China; and jointly developing academic programs, such as the Agri-Engineering (2+2) Program, Cotutelle PhD Program, Joint Degree, Joint Research Program, and Short-term Internship Program.

Kasetsart University and the University of Southern Queensland have a long-standing academic collaboration under a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed on March 2, 2023. This collaboration encompasses various activities, including student exchange programs under the New Colombo Plan Mobility Program and networking through international events. This meeting builds upon Professor Ren Yi's official visit to Kasetsart University in December 2025 and represents another significant step in advancing cooperation in education, research, and innovation to create mutually beneficial outcomes at the international level.

The University of Southern Queensland (UniSQ) is one of Australia's leading public universities, recognized for its excellence in applied teaching and research. The university has established particular strengths in agriculture and environmental sciences, climate science, agricultural engineering, advanced materials, and sustainable agricultural technologies through its specialized institutes and research centres. These centres are dedicated to driving innovation and translating research into practical solutions for industry and society, both nationally and internationally. UniSQ's research excellence closely aligns with Kasetsart University's academic mission and research capabilities, creating a solid foundation for expanding future collaboration in education, research, and innovation.

At the conclusion of the meeting, representatives from both universities exchanged commemorative gifts and participated in a group photograph in a warm and friendly atmosphere before the meeting concluded at 12:00 p.m. The visit reaffirmed the shared commitment of Kasetsart University and the University of Southern Queensland to strengthening their strategic partnership in education, research, and innovation through student and staff mobility, collaborative research initiatives, and international academic networking. These collaborative efforts are expected to generate new knowledge, foster innovation, and contribute to sustainable development for the mutual benefit of both institutions and the global community.
