I have introduced PowerPoint as a vehicle to help students learn English. In this session " What did you do at the Weekend?" Discussion about the day, highlighting and exploring adjectives, talking about the favourite part, then develop the PowerPoint. Listen to instructions, allow the student to get creative with animations and transitions. Source images from the internet by using search engines.
And finally use the finished piece to help explain and describe something, practicing speaking and presenting. Pretty cool way of getting your student to speak if they are quiet or shy when it comes to speaking.

Reading practice, letting the students taking it in turns. But they must follow while the other reads because they never know when they will be asked to take over.
Why do you play games? "because it's fun". Lesson on explaining why and what is fun about the game. Get the students to explain, create a mind map of different feelings and experiences. Then get them to create a funky PowerPoint. The end result enables them to explain and chat and provide some interesting information on why they play Roblox.

Reading practice, I love it when the student emphasises a section of the book. Shows they have an understanding of what they are reading.
Using a stronger member of the class to help the weaker students develop = Both learn + stronger student learns more managerial skills, along with perception, role model and leadership skills.
All this while keep the class fun 😁Happy days .

Start off with a little warmer then time to start reading a new book. Nice way to analyse what words require explaining and practicing.
Using TTT ( test, teach, test) teaching method, I discussed with the students last weeks test and started teaching at the beginning. With the use of getting the students to create a PowerPoint presentation they also learn practical, modern technology skills, along with seeing a visual take place. PowerPoint is an aid to their speaking practice ultimately breaking away from the pen ad paper.
This week, 'Saying and Writing the Date' and 'Nouns'.
