แหล่งศึกษาที่น่าสนใจ ที่นักศึกษาไม่เคยได้ทัศนศึกษาคือการท่าเรือแหลมฉบัง ท่าเรือน้ำลึก(Deep Sea Port) ซึ่งเป็นท่าเรือที่ใหญ่และทันสมัยที่สุดของประเทศ เป็นโครงสร้างพื้นฐานทางกายภาพที่มีขนาดใหญ่ และสำคัญต่อ เศรษฐกิจในภูมิภาค ASEAN เป็นอย่างยิ่ง ประกอบด้วยกิจการด้านโลจิสติกส์ อุตสาหกรรมพาณิชยนาวี และธุรกิจการค้า ระหว่างประเทศ มีสายการเดินเรือ(shipping Lines) และท่าเทียบเรือ (terminals) ประเภทต่างๆตาม
ลักษณะสินค้า มีระบบการขนส่งต่างๆต่อเชื่อมกัน รถบรรทุก-รถไฟ-เรือลำเลียง-เรือเดินสมุทร ด้วยประสิทธิภาพ ศักยภาพและเทคโนโลยี ที่ทันสมัยของท่าเรือฯ สามารถรองรับปริมาณสินค้านำเข้าและส่งออกหลายล้านตันต่อปี ทั้งนี้กิจกรรมและกิจการต่างๆ ในท่าเรือเป็นงานด้านโลจิสติกส์ที่ผู้คนส่วนมากไม่มีโอกาสได้เข้าชม
ในการทัศนศึกษาฯมีโปรแกรมและจุดที่จะพาเข้าชมดังนี้
1. พิพิธภัณฑ์ท่าเรือเฉลิมพระเกียรติฯสมเด็จพระนางเจ้าสิริกิติฯ - เป็นพิพิธภัณฑ์ที่มีความทันสมัย แสดงความเป็นมาและการพัฒนากิจการขนส่งทางเรือ ตั้งแต่สมัยอยุธยามาจนถึงยุคการท่าเรือแห่งประเทศไทย ในปัจจุบัน โดยมีการนำเทคโนโลยีมาใช้ในการนำเสนอ เรื่องราวความรู้เรื่องการขนส่งทางน้ำ ประกอบกันเป็นนิทรรศการ ของพิพิธภัณฑ์ ทำให้ผู้ชมเกิดความรู้ ความเข้าใจ และเพลิดเพลินในขณะเข้าชมพร้อมด้วยการบรรยายและพาชมกิจการ ภายในพิพิธภัณฑ์ท่าเรือเฉลิมพระเกียรติฯ
2. หอสังเกตการณ์ (Port Observation Tower) - เป็นสิ่งก่อสร้างที่มีความโดดเด่นงดงามทางด้าน สถาปัตยกรรม สร้างขึ้นเป็นเพื่อเป็น Land Mark ของท่าเรือแหลมฉบัง เปิดโอกาสให้ผู้เข้าชมสามารถขึ้นไปบนหอสูง เพื่อชมทัศนียภาพทั่วไปโดยรอบเขตท่าเรือและเขตนิคมอุตสาหกรรม เพื่อเป็นการเพิ่มพูนความรู้ และเข้าใจความสำคัญ ของกิจการท่าเรือฯ และอุตสาหกรรมพาณิชยนาวีที่มีความสัมพันธ์การค้ากับเมืองอุตสาหกรรมของภูมิภาค
3. เรือทัศนศึกษา (Port Sightseeing Cruise) - เรือโดยสารท่องเที่ยวขนาดกลางมีโครงสร้างเป็นเหล็ก จำนวน 2 ลำ มีความคงทนทะเล มีความปลอดภัย ผ่านมาตรฐานการตรวจเรือของกรมเจ้าท่าสามารถรับผู้โดยสารได้ 150 และ 180 คน รายละเอียดของเรือตามสิ่งที่ส่งมาด้วย 1 และ 2 โดยขึ้น-ลงเรือที่ท่าเทียบเรือกองบริการ เพื่อพาผู้เข้าชม ได้ล่องเรือแล่นชมทัศนียภาพในแอ่งจอดเรือ มีเรือสินค้าประเภทต่างๆที่จอดในท่าเทียบเรือ และการขนถ่ายสินค้า สิ่งก่อสร้างของท่าเรือฯ ท่าเทียบเรือ เครนยกสินค้า วิธีการนำเรือสินค้าเข้าและออกจากท่าเรือ การควบคุมเรือ การนำร่อง ชมเรือสินค้าที่กำลังแล่นเข้า-ออกจากท่า สถานีสมุทรเขตซึ่งควบคุมการเดินเรือและการจราจรของเรือสินค้า ในเขตท่าเรือ แหลมฉบังและท่าเรือศรีราชา อู่ลอย (Floating Dock) ซ่อมเรือสินค้า และลานต่อสร้างแท่นขุดเจาะน้ำมัน เป็นต้น
Educational Field Trip of Thailand’s Logistic and Trade Platform
The integration of ASEAN Economic Community (AEC) in 2015 evidently grants enormous opportunities for Thailand. Since Thailand is located in the center, with most of its borders connected to neighboring ASEAN countries and a well-established complex supply chain system, our country has a strong competitive advantage to become trade and logistic hub obtaining critical foothold in the region. Initiated by an experienced marine master visioning to support Thai education for such forthcoming opportunity, the educational field trip program aims to provide participants an unseen experience of Thailand’s world-class platform of logistics system at port of Laem Chabang, as well as an understanding of maritime industry and international business. Entitled as “The 18th World Class Port”, it holds the most advance technology and infrastructure of logistics and maritime system, which play an important role to gear the growing economics in ASEAN. Port of Laem Chabang is composed of many activities and facilities, such as customs and brokerage, shipping lines, different types of terminal, shipping dockyard, material handling Equipment and Facilities, multimodal transportation between land (truck or train) and sea (cargo ship or barge), as well as the Port Museum and Observation Tower. Unfortunately, this world of logistics and great resources are rarely seen by general Thai people. Our company, Master Compass Co.,Ltd, therefore, would like to propose the program “Educational Field Trip of Thailand’s Logistic and Trade Platform” as a channel to broaden horizon, preparing Thai people for the evolving economics, with thorough understanding and unseen experience to participants, students, or other interested people. Experienced staffs will supervise along the program. It consists of 3 areas as follow:
1) The Port Museum – Start from learning history of Thailand’s waterway transportation, walking path from the past to the future of ports of the world. Learn how can Laem Chabang port be “The 18th World Class Port”. The museum is well designed and equipped with many digital interactive system, audiovisuals, models, as well as gaming kiosks to enhance the learning experiences of participants.
2) The Observation Tower – To see clearer picture of port, participants go up the tower (landmark), to observe the panoramic view of the port. They can observe the connection of multimodal transportation, port facilities and infrastructures, and business ex*****on. The Observation Tower is the landmark of the celebration of the royal kindness of Her Majesty the Queen Sirikit.
3) The Sightseeing Cruise Trip – The cruises (steel hull) can accommodate 150 and 180 passengers, and are specially designed to serve this purpose, The Cruises’ Safety system are fulfilled with sufficient lifesaving equipment(Life-Jackets and Life-Rings). All ship safety and structure are surveyed under standard of the Marine Department (ministry of Transportation). The visitors and Participants can get onboard the sightseeing cruise sailing around to take a closer look and experience the maritime activities and port facilities from unseen views of the followings.
