There are three parts to the IELTS Speaking. For Part 2, the speaker speaks for two minutes on a familiar topic. Then Part 3, you discuss questions on the topic. Students reviewed the IELTS Speaking Part 1,
• learning the importance of advanced vocabulary
• learning and practicing used to and would
• identifying sentence stress

Students then practiced answering some Part 1 questions about primary school.
1. At what time did you used to get up to go to school?
2. How did you feel about getting up early as a child?
3. What teacher did you like the best at school? Why?
4. What did you particularly dislike about your school days?
5. What did you look forward to most at school?
6. What skills did you learn that might be useful to you now?
