Counting Thai numbers is easy, once you get 1-10 the rest is quite logical.
Only that, for 20 we say yìi-sìp (ยี่สิบ) instead of sǒrng-sìp. And, number 1 which is at the end we say "èt" (เอ็ด) instead of "nèung" (หนึ่ง)

Let's practice counting 1-100 in Thai. It's quite easy, only two things to consider1. 20 is yii-sip, not sorng-sip2. We say number 1 which is at the end "et"...

Ao (เอา) doesn't mean "want to"

One of the most common mistakes, when new learners speak Thai, is to say
ao + verb because it's misunderstood that ao means want to.
Actually, this common verb "ao" means to take, to get, to have something.
So, it's must be followed by a noun or pronoun, not a verb.

For example
Don't say Pǒm ao bpai Phuket (ผมเอาไปภูเก็ต)
Say Pǒm yàak bpai Phuket (ผมอยากไปภูเก็ต) instead if you mean you want to go to Phuket.

Say Pǒm ao gaa-fae 1 gâew (ผมเอากาแฟ 1 แก้ว) if you want one cup of coffee.
Don't say Pǒm yàak gaa-fae 1 gâew (ผมอยากกาแฟ 1 แก้ว)

One of the most common mistakes, when new learners speak Thai, is to sayao + verb because it's misunderstood that ao means want to. Actually, this common ver...
