We recently finished the last PADI Dive Centre Pro Photographer Course of 2024 with Toni putting a great portfolio of images together for her final assignment. We caught the offshore pinnacles of Southwest & Chumphon, plus Sail Rock while the viz was great and marine life prolific for her wide-angle training. And then sites closer to the island for macro, including a couple of nice muck dives ticking off some sought after critters.

Next year is already getting booked up, so it's not until the end of May that I can take new bookings, but there are two PADI Pro Photographer Courses scheduled for Feb and March that have one spot free on each. So if you want to learn how to shoot schooling fishes like the Bigeye Snapper & Oxe-Eye Scad swirling around a colourful barrel sponge, plus minuscule marine life like the colourful Candy Crab, give us a shout for more info or to make a booking.

Both the images below were taken by Toni with the RX100V in Nauticam housing, wet lenses by Nauticam & Inon, plus Inon strobes that are all included in the courses price.

Perfect formation of schooling Blackfin Barracuda (Sphyraena qenie) from Koh Bon Pinnacle earlier this year whilst aboard The Smiling Seahorse. We're teaming up again in January 2025 for another Photo Clinic (preceded by the annual Blackwater Safari) where we will spend the majority of the time on the amazingly photogenic Richelieu Rock, but will also visit the pelagic hotspots of Koh Tachai & Koh Bon. Soft Coral Crab (Hoplophrys oatesii) shot in the muck while diving with Takeshi and Big Blue Chaba earlier in the week. I found this crab a few weeks back while teaching a photo course and got the opportunity to return to its soft coral home armed with my camera for a few shots of my own.
