“Psychedelics are going to change the world.”
It’s a phrase many of us have heard, and perhaps even believed.

It is a beautiful hope. 🌿
Psychedelics have the capacity to profoundly transform lives. I’ve witnessed this in my own life, in my clinical work, and in the thousands of practitioners I’ve had the privilege of teaching.

But changing individual lives and changing society are not the same thing.

History reminds us that no movement, no technology, no philosophy, and no medicine has ever transformed the world on its own.
Societies are shaped by far more than individual transformation.
They are shaped by relationships, culture, institutions, economics, power, and the values we choose to embody together.

A psychedelic experience does not automatically make someone more ethical.
It does NOT automatically create humility. It does not automatically change how someone relates to power, leadership, or responsibility.

That work remains deeply human. 🤲
Perhaps the future of the psychedelic field will be defined by the kind of culture we build around them.

🌱 Accountability instead of idealisation.
🤝 Relationship instead of hierarchy.
🪞 Ethical reflection instead of unquestioned belief.

For me, that is one of the most important conversations our field can be having.

It’s also why Devon and I created the 9-Month Advanced Somatic Psychedelic Facilitator Mentorship. Not simply to teach facilitation skills, but to help cultivate practitioners who can contribute to a psychedelic field grounded in ethics, discernment, humility, and relational responsibility.

🎓 We’re offering 3 scholarships valued at USD $2,475 each for the 9-Month Advanced Somatic Psychedelic Facilitator Mentorship. Applications close 7 September at midnight PDT, and recipients will be announced 10 September 2026.

Identity gives us continuity. It shapes how we understand ourselves, our relationships, our purpose, and our place in the world.
Even identities that developed through adaptation or protection often provide a sense of stability.

After a profound psychedelic experience, those familiar reference points can begin to shift. Some people no longer recognise themselves in the roles they once occupied.
What once felt certain may suddenly feel unfamiliar.
This period of disorientation deserves careful support.

Without thoughtful integration, people may mistake temporary openness for permanent clarity. They may make major life decisions from a place of instability, become vulnerable to rigid belief systems or charismatic leaders who offer certainty, or experience increased anxiety or confusion as they struggle to make sense of who they are becoming.

As facilitators, our role is to help them remain grounded enough to discover changes for themselves…..at a pace their nervous system can genuinely integrate. 🌿
If you’re ready to deepen your capacity to support these complex integration processes with greater discernment, ethical care, and embodied presence, we’d love to welcome you into our 9-Month Advanced Somatic Psychedelic Facilitator Mentorship.

The world lost a bright light last Sunday - 🌈❣️Santanna Oush❣️🌈 💔💔

Words cannot express the sadness and grief around this tragedy and loss. Still very much reeling in shock from this news.

I first met Santanna on my 40th birthday on the dancefloor 7 years ago, and we’ve shared so many incredible moments on many dancefloors since.

She was one of the brightest humans that I’ve ever met.

Kind, generous, loving, caring, funny, insanely talented, shining the brightest light and showering the world with the highest vibes through her music and love.

She was an earth angel, spreading so much love and light through art and music.

We lost you too soon Sanny and I hope you continue to fly high. You will be so missed.

But what does ethical facilitation look like instead?

🌿 A facilitator who admits when they don’t know.
🌿 A facilitator who asks permission before offering interpretations.
🌿 A facilitator who welcomes questions and differing perspectives.
🌿 A facilitator who maintains clear, compassionate boundaries.
🌿 A facilitator who supports autonomy rather than creating dependency.
🌿 A facilitator who recognises the limits of their competence and refers when appropriate.
🌿 A facilitator who seeks supervision, reflects on their work, and remains open to feedback.

These qualities make someone committed to learning, accountability, and ethical care.

And that’s the kind of field we’re hoping to build together. ✨

✨ Today is the FINAL DAY to join with Early Bird pricing and save $500 USD.

This mentorship may be the right fit for you if…
1. You want to understand what happens when psychedelic experiences become complex.
Learn to work with attachment, trauma, transference, boundaries, uncertainty, and the relational dynamics that emerge in real practice.

2. You believe facilitation is about more than techniques.
Because how you show up, regulate yourself, and relate to others often matters more than having the perfect intervention.

3. You’re looking for supervision
This is a place to bring real questions, real cases, moments of doubt, and ethical dilemmas into a supportive learning community.

4. You want to keep growing long after your first training.

If that resonates, we’d love to welcome you into our 9-Month Advanced Somatic Psychedelic Facilitator Mentorship with Atira Tan & Dr. Devon Christie.

🌿 Early Bird ends today. Join now and save $500 USD before tuition increases.

✨ Spiritual language is powerful.
It can bring hope, meaning, and perspective during some of life’s most profound experiences.
But it can also, unintentionally, become a way of explaining something before we’ve truly understood it.

Phrases like…
“You just need to surrender.”
“That’s your ego.”
“Everything happens for a reason.”
…are incredibly common in psychedelic and spiritual spaces. (Right?)

And sometimes they may hold truth.
But sometimes they can also bypass the very psychological process that needs our attention.

🌿 A trauma response can be called resistance.
🌿 An attachment wound can be mistaken for a spiritual lesson.
🌿 A nervous system protecting itself can be interpreted as an inability to let go.

This isn’t about choosing psychology over spirituality. It’s about recognising that BOTH perspectives matter.

As facilitators, one of the most valuable questions we can ask ourselves is:
Am I helping this person understand their experience… or am I interpreting it for them?

Thoughtful questions create space for curiosity, autonomy, and self-discovery.
Premature interpretations can unintentionally narrow that space.

These are the kinds of conversations we have throughout our 9-Month Advanced Somatic Psychedelic Facilitator Mentorship: learning to hold both psychological depth and spiritual openness with greater discernment, humility, and ethical awareness.
