The second-year students of the Grand Turk Campus successfully completed their Capstone Project, transforming the existing gazebo into a more vibrant, welcoming, and aesthetically appealing college space for students and visitors alike. 🌿✨
Focused on creativity, comfort, and inclusiveness, the project introduced enhanced seating and design elements aimed at improving the overall college experience while fostering a stronger sense of community and school pride. Throughout the planning and implementation stages, students demonstrated exceptional teamwork, innovation, and practical problem-solving skills, ensuring that every group member contributed meaningfully to the project’s success.
The final product reflects not only creativity and feasibility, but also a deep sense of pride in the Grand Turk Campus and a commitment to excellence. Faculty members commended the group for their dedication, collaboration, and the high standard of work produced. 👏🎓

🌍✈️ The students and faculty of the Faculty of Tourism and Hospitality Management have officially embarked on their Annual Educational Tour!
This year, the team will journey to Jamaica for an immersive gastronomic and cultural learning experience, including visits to University of Technology, Jamaica, The University of the West Indies, and the Jamaica Tourist Board.
Students will also explore authentic Jamaican cuisine, hospitality, culture, and culinary traditions through hands-on experiences designed to deepen their knowledge of tourism and gastronomy. 🇯🇲🍴

⚓️🌊 The Turks and Caicos Islands Community College, through its TVET Department, in collaboration with the LJM Maritime Academy (Bahamas), and the TCI Department of Maritime and Shipping officially kickstarted the second cohort of the internationally recognised STCW Basic Training Programme this week.
This cohort currently consists of participants who are expected to receive training in key maritime safety and emergency response areas, including:
⚓ Personal Survival Techniques
🔥 Fire Prevention and Fire Fighting
🩹 Elementary First Aid
🛟 Personal Safety and Social Responsibilities
🔐 Proficiency in Security Awareness
The STCW Programme is designed to equip participants with the essential safety, survival, and operational skills required to pursue careers within the maritime industry, while meeting international maritime standards.
Following the tremendous success of the inaugural cohort, which recorded a 100% pass rate and certified over 50 participants, TCICC and its partners remain committed to strengthening workforce development and expanding opportunities within the maritime sector across the Turks and Caicos Islands.
