The Little School, Pine Valley, Mbabane, Swaziland.

The Little School was founded in 1975 with three children, Frances Farrell, aged three, Helen van der Meer aged four and Sophie read, aged six. It has grown steadily since its beginnings and now boasts 15 classrooms and lovely grounds in the country setting of Pine Valley just outside the city of Mbabane in Swaziland. It is a private school, but every year the School adopts an orphan or a child from a very poor background, paying for the child’s education from Grade 0 right through to Grade 7, the whole of his or her primary education.

The School has a very good academic standard, always achieving top results in the Grade 7 Swaziland Primary Certificate examinations.

The School is still being administered by Joy Farrell, the founder, with the help of Frances Farrell, the very same Frances Farrell, who was the School’s first pupil in 1975.
