The Little School - Pine Valley Private Independent Primary School How The Little School began. After all a school with three pupils is definitely in Little School.

The Little School was founded in 1975 with three pupils - Frances Farrell (three years old, today's Managing Director), Hellen van der Meer (four, a niece), and Sophie Read (six, from New Zealand). When wondering what to call the new school, my mother, Jessica van der Meer, Nee Sharnock) suggested "The Little School". But, today we are a school with seven grades and a Grade 0, 20 teachers, and sub

ject teachers such as teachers for computers, music, art, drama, languages and sport. Attempts to change the school's name have always been blocked by pupil and teachers - we like the name, we are well known and famous as The Little School - and we are famous - for the school's excellent results over the years and for our consistently high standards of teaching. so, The Little School we remain.
