🌞Imisebe Publishing Novel Writing Workshop🌞

As part of its ongoing commitment to nurturing local talent and promoting a vibrant reading and writing culture in Eswatini, Imisebe Publishing hosted a successful Novel Writing Workshop on 12 May 2026. The workshop formed part of the company’s broader mentorship initiative aimed at equipping emerging authors with practical writing skills while also supporting experienced writers in refining their craft.

The workshop followed closely after the launch of the siSwati Novel Writing Competition, which was officially launched by UNESCO Secretary General Lwandle Simelane during the World Book Day celebrations held at the Imisebe Publishing offices on 6 May 2026.

Facilitated by Dr. Portia Mkhonta, the workshop brought together both aspiring and published authors for an engaging and insightful learning experience.

🌞World Book and Copyright Day Commemoration 2026🌞

Yesterday, we marked the occasion of World Book and Copyright Day 2026 at our location. This day is celebrated every year on April 23. It was initiated by UNESCO in 1995 to encourage reading, publishing, and the protection of copyright.

The theme for this year; "Promoting multilingual education: Literacy for multilingual understanding and peace" resonates deeply with our identity and values as Imisebe Publishing.

Yesterday, we had the opportunity to gain insights regarding World Book and Copyright Day from various stakeholders about what this day signifies for them.
