Sometimes, the hardest mask to remove is the one we wear for ourselves.
We learn to smile when we are tired, stay silent when we are hurting, and become the person others expect us to be.
Then one day, we realize:
Life was never a costume party.
We were simply afraid to attend as ourselves.
Being authentic may feel uncomfortable, but pretending forever is exhausting.
Perhaps the real freedom begins when we stop asking, “Will they accept me?” and start asking, “Am I being true to myself?”
Take off the mask.
Your real face deserves to be seen.
