ABS Student Council 2022-2023

Dear ABS students,

Tomorrow we will introduce a new box, (the treasure box). This box as explained by us, (the student council) in class will be for you to vote for the movie you would like to watch.
Please place your class and the title of the movie you vote for.
Grades 7 and 8 will have 4 movies to choose from and grades 10 and 11 will have 4 movies to choose from.
We appreciate your cooperation.

Lately at Al Bashaer School,
The Student Council presents… THE SUGGESTION BOX.

The suggestion box is placed next to the administration office door and under the screen. It is a lego head figurine intended to be used to place “ideas in its head."
As it's title suggests, it is a suggestion box.
The lego head box is for a broader scale of suggestions, where you suggest whatever you want, on a piece of paper. Please place your grade but not your name.
Another suggestion box will be placed next to the current one soon conveying a question of the week, that we hope you will answer.
The purpose of these boxes is to allow the Al Bashaer students to be involved more in the decisions made by the council. We hope that you will collaborate with us to make this year an amazing year at Al Bashaer!

- Blankets, scarfs, socks (no pijamas)
Monday 12- February (No backpack day)
- Everything but a backpack (Bring your books, stationery)
Tuesday 13- February (MisMatch day)
- Wear things that don’t match
Wednesday 14- February (Palestine day)
- Palestine colors, the colors of the Palestinian flag (our s.c will help you draw the flag on your face), things related to Palestine 🇵🇸
Thursday 15- February (Favourite character day)
- wear like your favourite character (singer, cartoon, actor, a person you know..)

These are the words of Miss Safa Kassab Hassan, or as students might call her their second mother.
There are no words to describe our feelings towards Al Bashaer School; family, belonging, gratitude…… etc.
Al Bashaer has always been the incubator for its students and that is clear in it’s song “in the arms of my school”.
Our school is not a normal school. It is a place where one expresses himself/herself. It is a place where one can feel at home and most importantly, a place where one feels loved.
If one has been in Al Bashaer since day one or they just entered yesterday be sure that this school will never fail to make them feel welcomed and seen.
Here at Al Bashaer we grow, love, care, respect, accomplish, trust……..etc.
Happiest birthday to a place we all call home. 21 years of unconditional love, and this is just the beginning.…….

هذه كلمات مس صفا قصاب حسن او كما يسميها طلابها الام الثانية
لا يوجد كلمات لوصف مشاعرنا إتجاه مدرسة
البشائر عائلة، حب ، انتماء ، امتنان ….
دائما كانت البشائر الحاضن الاول لطلابها و كيف لا و اغنيتها الرئيسية "بين احضان مدرستي"
مدرستنا ليست مدرسة عادية. إنها مكان يمكن للشخص أن يعبر فيه عن نفسه. إنها مكان يشعر فيه الشخص بأنه في منزله و الأهم من ذلك أنه مكان يشعر فيه الشخص بأنه محبوب.
فلا يهم ان كنت في المدرسة منذ الصغر او منذ البارحة فانت بكل الاحوال ستشعر بهذا الحضن الدافىء و السند المستمر لك في مشوارك المدرسي و ما بعده
هنا في مدرسة البشائر ننمو، نحب، نهتم، نحترم، ننجز، نثق…….
كل عام و المكان الذي جميعنا ندعوه منزلنا الثاني بخير

Our spirit week was full of unforgettable moments and memories...
We broke our school routine and filled our hearts with happiness that will help us in completing the school year actively.
We were happy from the bottom of our hearts to share with you our happiness by spreading joy and drawing a smile on the faces of our friends and teachers.
