🥋🌎🇸🇻 Congratulations to 𝙍𝙚𝙗𝙚𝙘𝙖 𝙅𝙪𝙡𝙚 LF ’30 for proudly representing El Salvador at the WT World Cadet Championships Tashkent 2026 in Uzbekistan!

In her debut as part of the Salvadoran National Team, Rebeca competed against experienced international athletes, including Germany’s Johanna Carlotta in the -42 kg category. Despite the challenging match, Rebeca demonstrated courage, determination, and great character in her very first World Championship experience.

These opportunities are an important part of growth in high-level competition, and Rebeca continues to establish herself as one of the emerging young athletes in Salvadoran Taekwondo, gaining valuable experience on the world stage.

We are incredibly proud of you, Rebeca, and we know this is only the beginning of many more achievements to come! Keep dreaming high and representing La Floresta and El Salvador with pride.

📚 𝐑𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐓𝐚𝐤𝐞𝐬 𝐘𝐨𝐮 𝐄𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲𝐰𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞 – Book Week at La Floresta!

From April 20th to 23rd, we celebrated our Book Week at La Floresta under the theme “Reading Takes You Everywhere.” Our Primary students enjoyed four wonderful days full of reading, creativity, and fun, while our classrooms came alive with colorful and creative door decorations.

🪄On Monday, a group of volunteer moms from 1st to 6th grade joined us for special reading sessions in the classrooms. Students also enjoyed book sales, dedicated reading spaces, and special guest visits.

📚 We were delighted to welcome Daniela Echeverría (LF ’27), who shared her own book “Hadas y Dragones.” We also appreciate the support of Miss Ana María, Mrs. Yessy, and Mrs. Bessy in reading activities, as well as our special guest Guadalupe Zaghinni.

We closed this enriching week on Thursday with our joyful Alphabet Parade and Vocabulary Parade for our Primary students.

📖 A truly inspiring week that fosters a love for reading and creativity!

🌎 Celebrating Leadership and Excellence!

👏🏻 We proudly congratulate Isabella Sorkar (LF ’27) for being selected as one of the young Salvadorans participating in a prestigious leadership program promoted by the Organization of American States (OAS).

Isa is one of only four Salvadoran students chosen to join the Leadership Labs Program: “Diplomacy, Multilateralism, and International Cooperation,” an initiative led by the Young Americas Business Trust (YABT) in coordination with the OAS, aimed at fostering social and economic development among youth across the hemisphere.

As part of the Council for Childhood and Adolescence (CCNA), participants represent El Salvador in spaces of dialogue, reflection, and proposal-building on key topics such as leadership, public diplomacy, multilateralism, and regional cooperation.

This hybrid program includes both virtual and in-person experiences. Last week, participants where at the OAS Headquarters in Washington, D.C., engaging in an immersive agenda with experts and representatives from leading organizations such as the World Bank, Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), CSIS, Global Americans, and Georgetown University.

They also had the opportunity to meet with Permanent Missions to the OAS and were welcomed by El Salvador’s Ambassador Wendy Acevedo, who shared insights on diplomacy, youth development, and the country’s vision for empowering future leaders.

Isa, we are confident this incredible experience will further strengthen your skills in diplomacy, negotiation, dialogue, and teamwork.

🎉Congratulations on this outstanding achievement—your journey inspires us all!

𝗘𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗵 𝗔𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗗𝗮𝘆 2026 is celebrated each year on April 22nd🌎! We joined this year by encouraging all our students to take action—educate, advocate, and mobilize.

Our students responsible for the Eco Team♻️ organized on Friday April 17 - recreational activities and rally games during recess time, to raise awareness and educate about the importance of taking care of our planet Earth every day.

✅The theme for Earth Day 2026 is OUR POWER, OUR PLANET, reflecting a fundamental truth: environmental progress doesn’t depend on any single administration or election. It’s sustained by daily actions of communities, educators, workers, and families protecting where they live and work.

🌱Let's save and take care of our planet every day!
