|| ✈️ Our students set off for an international experience in Washington, D.C.! 🇺🇸

A group of students from our school departed for the United States, where they will take part in a truly enriching experience at The Heights, one of our brother schools located in Washington, D.C.

Before leaving, our students received the blessing of Father Javier, our Chaplain, who entrusted this trip to be an opportunity for growth, learning and fraternity.

During the next few days, our students will have the opportunity to share with students from The Heights, strengthen ties between both educational communities and enrich their integral formation.

We wish them a trip full of learning and unforgettable moments! 🌎📚

🔬🌱 Science Fair 2026 | Colegio Lamatepec

La Science Fair 2026 de Colegio Lamatepec, desarrollada en el marco del International Middle Years Curriculum (IMYC), fue una valiosa muestra del conocimiento, la creatividad y el esfuerzo de nuestros alumnos de 7.° a 9.° grado con la ciencia, el medioambiente y la transformación positiva de su entorno. 💡♻️

🧬 A través de proyectos como los sistemas del cuerpo humano, 📖 álbumes científicos, ⚗️ prácticas de laboratorio, 🏠 casas termodinámicas, 🌿 huertos hidropónicos y tradicionales, ♻️ compostaje y 🐟 nuestra piscigranja escolar, los alumnos demostraron que el aprendizaje trasciende las aulas cuando se investiga, se experimenta y se trabaja colaborativamente para encontrar soluciones reales.

🔎 Además, la reapertura del laboratorio y el uso del microscopio fortalecieron experiencias significativas que promueven la conciencia ecológica, la sostenibilidad y la formación de ciudadanos responsables. 🌎✨

👏 Felicitamos al equipo de Ciencias Naturales, conformado por Mr. Javier Solís, Mr. Edgardo Huezo y Mr. Edwin Barahona, por acompañar y guiar este proceso de aprendizaje, así como a nuestros estudiantes por el valioso trabajo realizado y la continuidad de proyectos que enriquecen la formación de cada generación.

||🌱 *Learning Beyond the Classroom!* 🌱

Our 4th graders from Colegio Lamatepec enjoyed an enriching educational visit to the Escuela Nacional de Agricultura (ENA), where learning truly came to life!

During this experience, students explored how food is grown, identified different food groups, and learned the importance of making healthy and eco-friendly choices.

From observing crops to understanding sustainable farming practices, they connected their classroom learning from Module 8: Food for Thought to real-world experiences.

This visit not only strengthened their knowledge about nutrition and the environment, but also encouraged them to reflect on how their daily choices can impact their health and the planet. 🌍

We are proud of our students for their curiosity, enthusiasm, and commitment to learning!

|| Corpus Christi LAM 2026 ✨

Vivimos una de las celebraciones más especiales para nuestra comunidad educativa. Nuestros alumnos participaron con dedicación y entusiasmo en la elaboración de las tradicionales alfombras, dando inicio a una jornada marcada por la fe, el recogimiento y la gratitud.

La celebración continuó con la Santa Misa y culminó con la procesión del Santísimo Sacramento por las distintas áreas del colegio, llevando bendición a nuestros alumnos, colaboradores y sus familias.

A lo largo del recorrido elevamos una oración muy especial: Pedirle a Dios el milagro de enseñarnos a mirar la Eucaristía, a reconocer Su presencia y a dejarnos transformar por Su mirada en nuestra vida diaria.

What an incredible Liga Bilingüe season for our student-athletes! 🏆🏀⚽

A huge congratulations to our U12 and U16 basketball teams for being crowned Liga Bilingüe Champions. Their dedication, discipline, teamwork, and competitive mindset were evident every step of the way, reflecting the excellence and spirit that define our school community.

We also proudly recognize our U-10 soccer team for earning second place in the tournament. Every match, challenge, and experience throughout the season plays an important role in building character, resilience, and growth — both on and off the field.

Keep trusting the process, supporting one another, and growing stronger as a team. We are incredibly proud of all our student-athletes for representing our school with passion, sportsmanship and heart.
