UNUASA MEETS UNU TOP ADMINISTRATION

Today Jan 16th 2026, the newly elected Executive and Council of Upper Nile University Academic Staff Association (UNUASA) paid a courtesy visit to the Vice Chancellor’s Office, where they were formally received by the Top Administration of Upper Nile University.

During the meeting, UNUASA leadership introduced themselves, shared their vision, and reaffirmed their strong commitment to mutual understanding, cooperation, and constructive engagement with the University administration. Both sides expressed readiness to work together in the spirit of dialogue and partnership for the collective benefit of academic staff, students, and the entire university community.

The meeting marked a positive step toward strengthening institutional relations and fostering a collaborative working environment grounded in respect, transparency, and shared responsibility.

ANOTHER MILESTONE FOR UNUASA!

Today marks yet another proud and historic moment for The Magnificent Upper Nile University Academic Staff Association (UNUASA) as the outgoing Executive Office Headed By: Dr. Acwanyo Adam Thabo (Outgoing Chairman) peacefully, professionally, and warmly handed over leadership to the newly elected Executive Office Headed By Dr. Luciano Paulo Dojack.

The handover ceremony was conducted in an atmosphere of unity, transparency, and mutual respect, and was duly witnessed by the Council Offices of both the former and current UNUASA administrations—a true reflection of democratic maturity and institutional continuity within the Association.

We commend the outgoing leadership for their dedicated service and responsible transition, and we warmly congratulate the new Executive Office as they officially assume their mandate to serve the academic staff community.

A HISTORIC DAY FOR UNUASA

Today marks a proud and historic milestone for the Upper Nile University Academic Staff Association (UNUASA) as the association successfully conducted a FREE, FAIR, and highly TRANSPARENT election for its Executive and Council Offices during the Extraordinary General Assembly.

Following the selection and seconding of an independent Electoral Committee, the election process was carried out with professionalism and integrity, reflecting the democratic spirit and unity of UNU academic staff.

UNUASA, whose office term runs for two (2) years, remains committed to its core mission of addressing academic staff welfare, promoting capacity & skills building of UNU academic staff, and improving both academic and social well-being across Upper Nile University & beyond.

The General Assembly also took a moment to honor and bid farewell to the outgoing Executive, appreciating their dedication and service, while warmly welcoming the newly elected Executive Office, now led by Dr. Luciano Paulo Dojack.
