Context

SMECOSS is a registered Institution, established in 2009 by South Sudanese professionals in entrepreneurship, Microfinance and Community Development. It was registered with the Ministry of Legal Affairs and Constitutional Development in the Government of Southern Sudan in 2010 with the registration Number 8117. It is also licensed by International Finance Corporation (IFC) to carry out specialized capacity building trainings in South Sudan.

Responsibilities
1. He coordinates field activities ie, he oversees the recruitment and training of volunteers
[
2. They ensure research equipment works efficiently throughout the process, manage relations with the local community and ensure field workers adhere to ethical guidelines for field work.

3. They must be able to simultaneously handle tasks such as supervising field staff, organizing meetings and liaising with project manager without losing concentration.

4. He schedules and attends meetings with other organizations in the area.

5. . Field coordinators also require excellent planning skills to accurately estimate the time, money and labor needed to complete an activity, as well as verbal and written communication skills to share information with field staff effectively.

7. When field activities don't roll out as planned, the field coordinator turn to their problem-solving skills to provide effective solutions.

8. The field coordinator will be supervising donor-funded campaigns and represent his employer, volunteers, and other stakeholders in meetings with donors.

9. The Field coordinator work towards improving the competence of field workers, to achieve this, he could organize training programs to help improve workers’ job skills and knowledge.
10. He will be submitting periodic activity status and summary report to project manager.
11. Ensure good flow of information within the group.

Skills and Qualifications

1. A minimum of Degree/Diploma in Business Administration, business Management or Relevant field.
2. A minimum of 2 years’ experience working with local communities – experience in South Sudan will be an advantage
3. Experience in project coordination.
4. Excellent written and spoken English is essential
5. Demonstrated ability to manage processes and maintain accurate records
6. Demonstrated effective organizational skills and ability to handle work in a timely manner
7. Demonstrated ability to coordinate tasks to meet deadlines
8. Ability to work in a multi-cultural, multi-ethnic environment with respect for diversity
9. Experience and skills in the use of software programs such as MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel
10. Knowledge of Dinka Language and classical Arabic will be an advantage

RESPONSIBILITIES
1. To teach objectively in regardless of, religion, race, ethnicity and s*x

3. To prepare relevant schemes of work, lesson Notes ,and teaching aids effective teaching and learning
4. To monitor and supervise class work student attendance and extra – curriculum activities
5. To implement programmed project activities and give regular progress report and challenges
6. To enroll students for classes without basis and discrimination within the regulations and provision of the Law
7. To keep all records in custody in safe conditions and ensure that the records contain correct information
8. To ensure punctuality is observed by students without fear or favor
9. To manage information and communication systems of the Training center Administration
10. To administer weekly and monthly Tests and of course final examination
11. To assist in the development and adaption of training materials and training so that they best meet the skills and community needs.

12. Working alongside with reading experts to improve the delivering of training the community members.
13. Responsible for planning, preparation and delivery of effective learning and teaching programs for identified students to improve their learning outcomes with a focus on literacy
14. To provide support to the team and in identifying patterns of achievement and selecting evidence based intervention strategies in the community.
15. To teach classes, small groups and individuals as stipulated within the guidelines of the organization improvement on literacy plan.

16. To ensure expertise, support and professional development in the community and individual levels to support improved teaching achievement.
17. Responsible for providing advice on the teaching of students with learning disabilities.
18. Doing any other work as it may be assigned

General Description of the Role:

You will work as part of IOM funded project (WAYSEIA) which is addressing Capacity Building –In following Core Areas: Women and Youth Skills Empowerment in Abyei
to improve livelihoods of the targeted areas within .
As part of the overall project the Business and finance trainer will be responsible for identifying and working with Targeted group with relevant skills and experience to recommend small businesses. The BFT will conduct business and finance training sessions and conduct market surveys.

RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Development of the small business component of the program
2. Development of business plan templates
3. Conducting training sessions on business and finance management
4. Development of appropriate monitoring and tracking mechanisms
5. Conducting market surveys and assessments
6. Represent SMECOSS at appropriate fora
