Good afternoon
This has been an extraordinary year in so many respects.
Exodus has endured many challenges since its foundation 11 years ago.
It's worthy remembering that in 2017 the school nearly collapsed due to the impacts of the war in Checkpoint.
This community has been tested repeatedly but never found to be wanting.
What defines us across the ages is the courage, creativity and resilience with which successive generations of Exodites have responded to challenges rather than the intrinsic nature of these challenges.
Whilst I do not want to dwell so much upon the unprecedented challenges of the recent months, I do want to share with you my admiration for the courage and resilience that all the members of this community demonstrated of late when the school was invaded by evil spirits.
As now we begin to emerge from the other side of this criss, we do so in sure knowledge that those bonds which have been forged in adversity have only served to enrich and intensify our relationship with one another.
We have inspired each other to live with hope and face the future in sure knowledge that we will emerge from this in a stronger position than ever before.
We have not simply survived, we have grown together and thrived together during these testing moments. During difficult moments, support from our parents has remained steadfast. I can never underestimate the huge sacrifices that our parents made by sending their children to school and your stance humbled me. Its never taken for granted and I am honoured that you have chosen to become members of this wonderful community.
At this point in our history your unshakable confidence and faith in our ethos, values and sense of purpose is so valued. In my responsibility to serve each member of this school, this community is firmly rooted in equality and one in each individual has a powerful voice.
