TIME FOR FOOTBALL

The Games and sports' master of Modern Academy Secondary school Mr. Mading Michael Jok has on Monday declared the commencement of inter-classes football competition. The competition is designed in form of a league so that a trophy is won by the class with the highest number of points.

The games have been scheduled to start at 4 PM from Monday to Friday everyday. The schedules are made not to interrupt time for lessons or classes.

The management wishes players good luck during this time of curricular activities. The management will award the following categories:

1. Wining class
2. Runners up
3. Best player
4. Best goal keeper
5. Top scorer

Our senior one students sat for their fifth test since joining secondary school. The students sat for the principles of Accounts under strict supervision. It was met with mix reactions since it was unannounced. The teacher wanted to ascertain if learners are either constantly reading or read only if the test is announced. It was noted that learners become serious if the continuous assessment test (CAT) is proclaimed.

After the test, the teacher emphasized the importance of reading on daily basis and stressed on the need to have personal reading time table to improve performance.

The Administration of Modern Academy Secondary school would like to appreciate the two teams that represented us in a debate championship organized by YOUTH LINK FOUNDATION. The debate championship took place between Saturday and Sunday.

The teams did well on the first day but were shockingly knocked out on the second day. On the public speaking, one of our students emerged in top ten of the best public speakers as ranked by YOUTH LINK FOUNDATION jury of Judges. The management thanks the organizers for giving the ample platform to students to showcase their potentials in the areas of Debate and public speaking. We are thankful and delighted for the opportunity to participate. We strongly believe that participation alone is a success on its own.

We are indebted to the individual participants for the role they played in the competition. They didn't only represent us but they showed to the nation that we are destined for the greatness as time dictates.

Finally, we profoundly appreciate our students for the highest level of discipline and smartness they have shown to the schools in Juba and the entire nation.

MANDATORY PRACTICAL CLASSES

Our senior one students are enjoying being introduced to the scientific world. Getting to know all the apparatus used in the science laboratory will enhance better understanding and their uses.

The National Ministry of General Education and Instructions has slated Thursday, 12th March, 2026 as the commencement date for printing of Certificate of Primary Education (CPE). The National Ministry informs parents and pupils to speed up the procession of certificates to ease in the admission process.

Meet the two Administrators of Modern Academy Nursery and Primary school. Mr. Chol Mabior is the Director of studies and Chol Arrise is the Director of games and sports. The two are among other teachers behind the success of Modern Academy Nursery and Primary school.
