Faiza Aquilla is a 17 years old girl residing in Bazumburu village in Bazungua payam , 12 km away from Yambio county in Western Equatoria State.

She is the daughter to Sadaraka Aquilla . Faiza was identified and assessed by our Western Equatoria Partner Change Agent Organisation (CAO) outreach Community-Based Rehabilitation Worker (cbr) in 2019. She is a left leg amputee, a situation befell her at the age of 4 as a result of a snake bite.
CAO identified numerous challenges on Faiza the most urgent was lack of proper learning, mobility challenge to and from school, school fees among others, despite of the far distance to reach her, CBR staff could reach her by use of bicycles, by then motorcycles had not been delivered . Her life was miserable to the extent that she abandoned school. CAO re-enrolled her back to Bazumburu primary school supported her with school, fees, scholastic materials, home based lessons and made frequent follow-ups.
Thanks be to God in 2022 one of the Christian Brother s happened to offer a scholarship to this girl in Rimenze boarding primary school, one of the best schools in western equatorial state. Currently Faiza is in class 5 . CAO still supports her with scholastic materials and offers transport to and frequent follow -up.

ECSS partner in Terkeka CAD CBR staff trained on how to assemble wheelchairs of different sizes for both children and youths with Disabilities. Both gained skills and knowledge on wheelchair assembling, management and kowning the appropriate device for clients needs.
