We applauded the great work of Mission Empowering Africa - MEA, the Youth-led Organization behind the activities of South Sudan Youth parliament and South Sudan Junior Parliament-SSJP 🇸🇸.

Youth have a unique ability to mobilize communities and create positive change. They can use this ability to promote intercultural and interfaith dialogue and build bridges between different social groups. By doing so, they can help to reduce tensions and prevent conflict.

As part of our Advocacy on engaging grassroots Communities to end communal conflict among the local communities, we would like to seize this opportunity to call all the Peace Partners and Donors to join Mission Empowering Africa - MEA in this journey.

CALL FOR PARTNERSHIP

THE INTER-SCHOOLS ATHLETICS CHAMPIONSHIP - APRIL 2024:
Inter-schools Athletics Championship (ISAC) is a peer-to-peer sport programme initiated by MEA that brings together all young athletes from various High schools to participate in athletics activities in a bid to identify potential young sportsmen and women with a gift to showcase their sport talents and to develop it in order to benefit them healthily, socially and economically. This initiative will bring together learners from eleven (12) Secondary schools within Central Equatoria State (CES) that are members of South Sudan Junior Parliament (SSJP). The activities will encompasses both long distance and short distance races. The long distance races will be mainly the cross Country 12KM and 8KM for men and women. The short distance races or field events will mainly be 100M, 200M, 400M, 3,000M, 5,000M and 10,000M respectively. Other field events will include; Long, High and triple jumps, Javelin and short discus throw.

MISSION;
To inspire and empower a young generation of informed, open-minded, responsible and active citizens that shape society and drive impact.

This initiative seeks to engage over 7,000 students and over hundreds athletes from 12 High schools that members of South Sudan Junior Parliament-SSJP to help them in talents identification and its personal management while ensuring an intact sense of identity and well-being of citizens and engaging the grassroot children and adults to build their sport potentials for both health, social and economic benefits.
