The YES Alumni Suriname aims to bring a change to the Surinamese community by conducting projects for and by the youth.

The Kennedy-Lugar Youth Exchange and Study (YES) Program, funded by the U.S. Department of State, provides scholarships for secondary school students (age 15-17) from countries with significant Muslim populations to spend up to one academic year in the United States. The YES Alumni are the students that have returned from that academic year. YES alumni also include the growing number of YES Abroad
