The participant develops his or her competences through training, a manual, tests and assessment via the computer. Instead of a trainer, interactive exercises, short films and game elements ensure the transfer of knowledge and skills.

E-learning offers many advantages when compared to conventional training. Of course, it is not always possible to replace classical training with e-learning training. In some cases a combination of both is desirable in the form of blended learning.
Technical developments offer an increasing number of possibilities for deploying e-learning for a wide variety of training and education. For this reason every organisation can and should consider e-learning.
