The Dean of the Faculty of Economics, Ustad Dahir Abdi Ali, participated in a high-level leadership training organized for University Council members as the university prepares to implement its new Five-Year Strategic Plan (2026–2030). The event took place at Chaka Ranch in Nyeri, Kenya.

The training focused on strengthening leadership capacity to effectively transition from strategy formulation to implementation, ensuring that institutional goals are translated into concrete actions.
During the Retreat, the Rector, Dr. Abdikarim Mohaidin, presented SIMAD University’s Vision 2030, offering a comprehensive overview of the institution’s long-term direction and strategic aspirations. The presentation emphasized the importance of critically diagnosing the current status of each department and clearly defining where it should be by the end of the 2030 strategic cycle.
The retreat concluded with a strong demonstration of collective commitment, as all Council members, under the leadership of the Rector, formally pledged to ensure effective implementation, ex*****on, and institutionalization of the Strategic Plan 2026–2030.
