Mr. Zakaria Foodade, Director of FOCUS Institute , delivered an insightful presentation on the policy brief titled “Somalia's Electoral Legitimacy: Breaking the Cycle of Manipulation and Addressing the Structural Barriers to Electoral Legitimacy.”

He highlighted the urgent need to strengthen transparent electoral systems, address long-standing structural challenges, and build public trust in democratic processes. The discussion emphasized the importance of inclusive participation, accountability, and sustainable reforms to ensure a credible and legitimate electoral future for Somalia.
