Some words in English are just difficult for us Somalis to pronounce and pronouncing a word correctly usually does help you spell it the right way. Good pronunciation will also help others to understand you better. If you try to speak English and people misunderstand you, blame yourself sometimes because you had not put some effort into looking some words up in the dictionary.
We will try to correct some of these as correctly as we can but we will not cover them at one go as that needs a lot of time and effort. A few words will be covered every week. Here are some of the most mispronounced words in Somalia:
