Diannah English Language School, Senegal

Diannah (pronounced Jannna) is a small rural town in Casamance, Southern Senegal.

The official language is French, and local languages include Mandinka. Wolof, Jola and Fula - very little English is spoken here. In the state primary school children are taught in French in classes of around 50 pupils. Diannah English Language School ( a simple classrom built using local materials) was opened in April 2009.
