On the 23 August 2025, CROWN INTERNATIONAL ACADEMY, Waterloo organised a day training and planning session setting the pace for the start of 2025/2026 academic year.

The training Session covered various essential topics Including:

1. Professional standards (Code of conduct for teachers)
2. Child Protection Policies
3. Marking of Register
4. Teaching Methodology
5. Lesson note preparation
6. Exam
a. Effective question for test and exam and record keeping
b. Effective Preparation of result and use of grade sheet.

Furthermore, All Staff led by the Principal planned for the 2025/2026 academic year. The following were discussed during the planning session:
1. Goal setting
2. Disciplinary measures
3. Dress code
4. Monitoring procedures etc.
The training and planning session concluded with a sense of renewed purpose and commitment among the staff. The comprehensive agenda ensured that all critical aspects of school operations were addressed, setting the stage for a successful academic year ahead.

Crown International Academy in Waterloo organized a comprehensive training day for all staff members in preparation for the 2024/2025 academic year. The training aimed to enhance staff understanding of essential policies, educational acts, and collaborative planning to ensure a productive and effective academic environment. The agenda was structured to cover various critical topics, fostering professional development and aligning staff with the school's goals and objectives.

The training commenced with a warm welcome from the Principal Mr.Kosia, who emphasized the importance of continuous professional development and collaboration among staff. Kosia highlighted the academy's commitment to providing a safe and conducive learning environment for both students and educators.

Professional Development Workshops
The workshops were designed to equip staff with the necessary knowledge and skills in the following areas:
Teacher's Code of Conduct and Ethics: Staff engaged in discussions about the ethical responsibilities of educators, emphasizing integrity, respect, and professionalism in their interactions with students, parents, and colleagues.
Child Protection Policies: This session focused on the importance of safeguarding children within the educational setting. Staff were trained on recognizing signs of abuse, reporting procedures, and creating a safe environment for all students.
Educational Acts of Sierra Leone: Participants were introduced to the key educational laws and regulations governing the educational sector in Sierra Leone. This knowledge is crucial for ensuring compliance and understanding the rights of students and educators.
Correct Use of the Lesson Plan Manual and WAEC Syllabus: Staff were guided on how to effectively utilize the lesson plan manual and align their teaching with the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) syllabus, ensuring that educational standards are met.
And finally Reviewed the School Goals and Objectives.

As October 5, 2023 marks the end of the 6 years academic struggling and sourcing for knowledge at Secondary School Education, Crown International Academy SL bid fear well to it HIGH SCHOOL LEAVERS, it was a remarkable, historic and emotional event with mixed feeling full of fondness and sadness, as the leavers outline their best and frustrating moments throughout their secondary journey in their delivered fear well speeches, teachers also bid them fear well as they are prepare and ready for various universities, and the final fear well speeches from their juniors makes everyone burst into tears.
Crown International Academy Anniversary Celebration was part of the agenda as 5 October is the day the school was founded, the foundation speech was delivered by the Principal, he highlighted the successes and challenges of the school since it was founded and also gave the historical background of the school.
Both events ended with celebration and lots of appreciation from the parents and well wishers as some vowed to bring more children to Crown International Academy Waterloo SL, because of it high academic output, focus in making sure the students work hand-in-hand to achieve Academically, Socially and Emotionally.

As we gear towards the 2023/2024 academic year, Cross section of Crown International Academy Waterloo teachers participated in a training session today Saturday 12 August 2023 at the school premises.
The training session included but not limited to:
**An Insight on Teachers* *Code of Conduct.*
* *Child right act 2007*
* *Marking and closing of* *daily attendance register*
* *Classroom control and management.*
* *New SSS curriculum*
* *The use of Lesson Plan Manual (LPM) and
* Child Centered Teaching Techniques (80/20) etc.
The sessions came to an end with lots of questions, and relevant answers were provided by various facilitators, it was really an exciting session as the young and energetic teachers of Crown International Academy Waterloo were much more eager to know indepth about the topics highlighted above.
Many thanks to the proprietors and Principal of Crown International Academy Waterloo for putting together all the needed resources for the training session and also to all the teachers who left their busy schedules to be part of the training as this will serve as a stepping stone into the new academic year come September.
