Thieves Break into Head Teacherโ€™s Quarters at Baptist Primary School, Rowalla

On the evening of March 15, 2025, unknown individuals broke into the residence of Mr. Alfred A. Karim, Head Teacher of Baptist Primary School, Rowalla. The intruders forcefully entered through the back door and stole several valuable items, including a bag containing important school documents such as subsidy reports, cheque books, and personal documents, including academic certificates. Additionally, a sum of ten thousand leones (Le 10,000) was reported missing.

Mr. Karim was deeply affected by the incident and lost consciousness, making it difficult for him to immediately assess the full extent of the stolen items. Upon discovering the break-in, community stakeholders were informed, and a report was made to a police officer in Magburaka.

As of now, no suspects have been identified. However, Sullay Conteh (PRO) and Abdul Sankoh (Chief Whip) of the Baptist Old Pupils Association visited the scene and confirmed that the house had been broken into and that various items were stolenโ€”except for Mr. Karimโ€™s clothing.

Sullay and Abdul have assured the school and community that they will work closely with the police to recover the missing documents and belongings. Investigations are expected to begin soon to bring those responsible to justice.

The Rowalla Baptist Primary Old Pupils Association convened a meeting to address several pressing issues: a broken tap well handle, 6 open doors, and 3 damaged doors. Additionally, there's a need for one bundle of zinc to replace the damaged zinc in the Head Teacher's office and the restroom. Pledges have been made by the Association's President, VP, School Coordinator, PRO 1 & 2, Chief Whip, and one member, all aiming to fulfill these pledges by month-end. We're raising a total of Le 10,000 to address the tap well, doors, and zinc replacement. We call upon philanthropists, including former students of the school, to contribute funds or materials to support this project. See attached pictures for reference.
