THE 6TH NATIONAL SPELLING BEE SENIOR PRELIMINARY COMPETITION COMPLETED.

The Spelling Bee Foundation completed its 6th National Spelling Bee Senior Preliminary on the 10th of May, 2025, with ten brilliant spellers ( four boys and six girls).

The Preliminary started with their one hundred words, which were given to them. Part of these words were; TRICHOTILLOMANIA, HIPPOPOTOMONSTROSESQUIPPEDALIOPHOBIA, HYDROCHLOROFLUOROCARBON, CHAUVINISM and GOURMAND to name but a few.

In the first round of the event, only six out of the ten participants were able to spell all their words correctly, which takes us to having a round in the event.

In the second round, the six participants battled over random finalists' words from last year's senior finale words. Though words like LIAISON, MIMIC, QUAY, and THYME to name but a few were missed, yet the Bee was able to get its five best senior category finalists.

Four girls and a boy from this category made it to finale.

The Spelling Bee - GH we are coming!!

THE SPELLING BEE FOUNDATION CONCLUDED ITS 6TH NATIONAL SPELLING BEE JUNIOR PRELIMINARY.

On the 3rd of May, 2025, the Spelling Bee Foundation completed its 6th National Spelling Bee Junior Preliminary with eleven (11) participants, making it the 3rd phase of the event.

In the 1st round of this category, participants were asked to spell seven words on their first standing, and nine out of eleven were able to get all their words correctly.

Participants who got their words right in the first round battled over thirty impromptu words.

Fickle, tsunami, Shenanigan, and chaos, to name but a few were some of the words missed in this category.

After several rounds in the second round, the Bee was able to get its six best participants out of the eleven participants to the finale.

THE 6TH NATIONAL SPELLING BEE PRIMARY PRELIMINARY REPORT.

On the 19th of April 2025, the Spelling Bee Foundation hosted its 6th National Spelling Bee primary Preliminary with three boys and six girls, making it nine participants from their category.

One hundred words were battled over in the first round of the Preliminary, where only six qualified to the second and final rounds, meaning they spelled all their words given to them on their first standing.

The bee was looking for only five finalists, and one had to drop off in the second round to give the bee its five finalists. The participant who dropped off missed the word "WARSHIP"

In the bee competition, missing just a start of your word can cause a big problem.

In the end, only five participants were able to secure their spots for the 6th National Spelling Bee finale. The undermentioned are the primary category finalists.

Four hundred were given to the finalists for finale.

THE SPELLING BEE FOUNDATION CONCLUDED ITS 6TH NATIONAL SPELLING BEE ORIENTATION.

On the 12th of April 2025, the Spelling Bee Foundation organized its annual orientation for both the kids and their parents.
This event is aimed at creating a room for knowing the dos and don'ts of the event.

This year's 6th national spelling bee competition registered thirty-two (32) participants, twenty(20) girls, and twelve (12) boys, making it 75% of girls' participation and 25% of boys.

The bee is one of the many organizations that cares about girls' empowerment and learning.

Participants from all categories will participate over one thousand five hundred words from preliminaries to finale.
