ALBERT ACADEMY ALUMNI ASSOCIATIONS (COMAHS, IPAM & FBC BRANCHES) EXPRESS THANKS FOR THE FIRST EVER FRESHER'S NIGHT 2021.
The event was held in the grounds of the Albert Academy on Saturday, the 27th March 2021 late in the evening.
⭕However;
🔰 A total of about 10 Freshmen were in attendance, dominated by IPAMERS, and a total attendance of about 20.
🔰 Statements were made by Representatives of the National Alumni Chapter (Mr. Daniel Sillah (Secretary General) and Mr. Ashford Strasser-King (Organizing & Coordinating Person), as the National President was unavoidably absent.
Another interesting statement from Mr. Moses Lavallie Jr., a media Practitioner at the Freetown Television Network (FTN) and Radio Freetown (Who is not an Academician) and the keynote speech from Mr. Ibrahim Kebe, a young Lecturer at IPAM USL, (An Academician), plus a pre-recorded one from the Deputy Registrar of IPAM, Mr. Brima Bah (Who is also Albert Academician).
🔰 We involved our energy, time and preciously also our resources as Students. But the fundraising aspect of the event was not achieved in anyway, due to poor attendance.
🔰 We received promises from senior colleagues to at least have particularly financial assistance when the expected outcomes was very far from achieved, as we look forward to that.
🔰 Record then was set even with all the challenges, as the intention of having a motivational and guidance session for the Freshmen with the theme: "Boosting Academic Excellence", was met.
🔰 Foods, Drinks, music etc were provided.
👉We therefore, thank and appreciate the current executive of the National Alumni Chapter that was there with us from the very beginning, the School Administration (Both JSS & SSS) for the permission, Colleagues continuing Students, senior colleagues at media houses and other works of life, and again to the leadership and the entire memberships of the three constituents Alumni Bodies (COMAHS, IPAM & FBC) in the leadership of President Buya Nabie Bangura, President Augustine Cenava Abu, and President Kennedy Jalloh respectively, as we have intentions to incorporate other Alumni Bodies in other higher institutions.
For the School that we love so well; THE GREAT ALBERT ACADEMY.
