The Scaling up Nutrition &Food Systems Coordinating Unit (SUN-FSCU), under the Office of the Vice President together with the Scaling Up Nutrition and Immunization Civil Society Alliance (SUNI-CSA) Children Advocacy Forum Sierra Leone with support from Helen Keller International is conducting a Bi-Annual Supportive Supervision in Kono, Tonkolili, Pujehun, and Moyamba Districts with the objective of strengthen district-level nutrition governance and coordination through structured supportive supervision, mentoring, and joint action planning from the 28th April to the 5th May 2026.

With specific focus on
• To Review the functionality of district nutrition governance and coordination mechanisms.
• To Strengthen collaboration among devolved sector Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs).
• To Identify implementation gaps and jointly agree on corrective actions.
• To Enhance reporting, data use, and accountability in line with SUN and Feed Salone priorities.
• To Promote effective use of the National Nutrition Information Management System (NIMS)
• To identify the challenges and support needs related to TLTN services, which include Vitamin A supplementation, deworming, and multiple micronutrient supplements.
• ⁠To raise awareness on the African Vaccination week on the theme “For Every Generation, Vaccines Work”
• ⁠To accelerate the implementation of Sierra Leone’s 11 National Nutrition Commitments (2025–2030).
This initiative aligns with the SUN Movement Multi-Stakeholder Platform (MSP) and the Feed Salone Strategy, reaffirming Government’s commitment to delivering sustainable nutrition outcomes at scale.
