A Special Talk on Mental Health & Entrepreneurship was conducted today i.e.14th November 2019. at BlueCrest College, 77 Wilkinson Road, Freetown, Sierra Leone. The Speaker was Mr. Jimmy Westerheim, Founder and CEO of "The Human Aspect" organization, MESH,
Tordenskjoldsgate 3, 0160 Oslo, Norway
The vision of The Human Aspect is to fill the mental health gap between the professional services out there and everyday people, to make sure no one is ever alone with a life challenge. Our way to do that is through digitizing human-to-human support through empowering thousands of people to become professionals within their narrow field, by sharing their own life experience. In this way, we can make sure 1 person’s story can reach millions of people at the same time. Together we can positively impact a billion people.
The Human Aspect is a non-profit foundation that creates in-depth video interviews to help people out of their life challenges. It would be easier to overcome your challenge if you could hear the advice of someone who has already done so. All the interviews they do are freely accessible for anyone on their website. They’re even categorized so that someone struggling can search and find someone who has overcome what they’re suffering through. With categories like depression, abuse, anxiety, war & conflict, career and many many more. Basically, they want to capture the human aspect.
To date, they’ve done over 360 interviews most of which are over an hour long. The interviewee usually opens up and talks about things they’ve rarely said to anyone. This creates the vulnerability we think can create change with the person struggling today. We have over 150 are published on the website
Mr. Jimmy talked about the importance of Mental Health in order to be successful in life. Glimpse from the session. @ Freetown, Sierra Leone
