As Sierra Leone enters the peak of the rainy season, concerns remain about the preparedness of residents in flood-prone bay communities, with blocked waterways and poor waste management increasing the risk of flooding.

Meanwhile, allegations of examination malpractice during WASSCE continue to threaten the credibility of the education system, prompting calls for stricter monitoring and accountability.

The consequences are significant, including the devaluation of academic certificates, reduced confidence in the education system, and the production of graduates who may lack the necessary knowledge and skills. It is also believed to have fueled a culture of dishonesty among young people.
