The children of this country deserve quality learning materials and the environment.
The teachers of this country deserve quality life in as much we need progressive educational system in this country.
We are living in the most challenging era where a large majority of our youths have been engulfed with drug addiction.
Sierra Leonean children are dying every day. Are we to lose more of our classmates and colleagues to this drug saga?
I think the answer is NO. Please state actors, let's do the needful to take our children back to school.
The other concerns are the quality of education and as well as model of learning that is ongoing in the country, its killing the creative mindset, and cultivating a consumption mindset.
We need education that can move us a nation ahead of our future challenges.

I want to start by thanking president BIO for appointing one of the well meaning youth as minister of basic and senior secondary education .. The educational story have been on different page for the past seven to eight years , which have not been adding blue print to our socioeconomic battle.. Since the arrival of this administration it's clear that they want to change that old and odd drama that have been on folding in field of academia.. A very big thank you to the out going minister ALPHA OSMAN TIMBO for a very good start in that ministry and on the other hand welcome DR. SENGEH and we wish you a very good stay sir. You need to note the following upon assuming office sir:
1. They teachers aren't happy sir and please note that doing a job with sadness can't yield good result which is the expectations of you and any well meaning Sierra Leonia .. A lot things needs to done in that area.. If you can do research on happy status of your teachers that you can easily earn you a head way in getting your expected result .. Salary increment aren't the best way to make teachers happy sir but things like free study opportunity for teachers , provisions of quarters for their stay in most of the urban towns and cities and the provision of leave with at list five times monthly salary as leave allowance to each teacher like how they are doing for any civil servants can help out... If more attention is given to teachers that will solve most of the problems in the teaching field ..
2. The school environment aren't fixed well for the provision of modern education in most of the government and government assisted schools.. The number of pupils per class is a very big problem . If your administration can help in providing more class rooms for schools in the cities that can help in salvaging the over population in class rooms in order to maintain perfect class room management.. These are ways to enhance effective learning processes in schools .. ..
3. Vetting of teachers ability as against the subjects they teach in the schools. Most teacher have the certificate but haven't the requisite performance skills in handling their subjects areas due to changes that are occurring in the school system .. So let there be and ability training for all teachers in there subjects areas to enhance effective and appropriate teaching style..
4. The ministry needs to review the curriculum for primary , secondary , schools and as well as higher learning institutions..
