What is the meaning of life? People have been looking for an answer to this question for thousands of years, referring to literature and authoritative opinions, usually in the field of science or religion, as well as building upon their own perception of the world and a human’s place in it. They often collect a pool of resonant ideas drawn from various sources and use them to form a hybrid vision of their mission on earth. In addition, the meaning of life can be unique, invented by a specific person based on their view of life, and this is also perfectly normal.

Before seeking the meaning of life, we should understand what drives us as humans, why we make certain decisions, and what determines our choices in life. Once we have this understanding, we can easily figure out why we are here and which path of life we should take.
The meaning is an essential element of well-being. It gives us satisfaction, joy, inspiration, and a desire to live and achieve our goals. The meaning helps us overcome the hardest trials and survive in any circumstances.

Biblically, the meaning of life is rooted in a relationship with God and fulfilling His purpose. This involves knowing, glorifying, and enjoying God, and living in harmony with His will. Humans are created in God's image and are called to worship, obey, and exercise dominion over creation, reflecting God's character and purpose. Ultimately, the Bible suggests that a life lived by God's design leads to fulfilment and purpose.

The Bible emphasises that knowing God and recognising His glory is central to understanding life's meaning. This includes understanding His character, His works, and His plan for humanity.
Living according to God's commands and purpose is another key aspect of biblical meaning. This involves aligning one's actions and choices with God's revealed will in scripture.
Humans are given a role to steward and manage God's creation, reflecting His creative power and care for the world.

The Bible portrays life as a journey of developing a relationship with God, finding joy and purpose in that relationship. This relationship is characterised by love, faithfulness, and service to others.
The Bible also offers a perspective on life beyond the physical realm, pointing to an eternal future with God for those who believe.
In essence, the biblical view of the meaning of life emphasises a life centred on God, His purposes, and His relationship with humanity, resulting in a life of purpose, fulfilment, and eternal hope.

Therefore, being a steward of one's life means recognising that everything a person has their time, talents, possessions, and even their very life – ultimately belongs to God and is entrusted to them for management and responsible use. It's not about ownership, but rather about being a caretaker or manager of what God has given.

Jesus provides the true meaning of life by offering a path to a restored relationship with God and eternal life, as well as a transformed life on earth through His teachings. This meaning is found in faith, love, and service to God and others, ultimately leading to a life of purpose and fulfilment.
Biblically, the concept of life having meaning without Christ is presented as a state of meaninglessness and vanity. Many biblical passages suggest that true purpose and fulfilment are found through a relationship with Jesus Christ and living according to God's will. Without Christ, life is described as a "chasing after the wind" or being in bo***ge to sin and death.
The book of Ecclesiastes in the Bible explores the idea that without God, life can feel empty and futile, a "chasing after the wind".

Without Christ, individuals are seen as being in bo***ge to sin and death, lacking true spiritual freedom.
The Bible emphasises that true purpose and meaning are found in knowing and following Jesus Christ.
Christ is presented as the source of hope, forgiveness, and eternal life, which are absent without Him.
A life without Christ is described as leading to a state of condemnation, while a life with Christ offers eternal life and fellowship with God which is the true meaning of life.

SALVATION PRAYER

Father, in the name of Jesus, I come before you today. I am sorry for all the ways I have sinned against you. I surrender my life to you and repent of my sinful habits. I say bye-bye to the devil. I enter into the kingdom of light, and I turn my back on the kingdom of darkness. Lord Jesus, come into my heart and change me today. Make me a member of the family of God. Let every old thing in my life pass away, and let everything become new. Give me the power to follow you all the days of my life, in Jesus' name. Amen!
