HARMONY IN GRIEF, STRENGTH IN UNITY.
We wish to express our heartfelt appreciation to the St Joseph's Ex-Pupils Association, the National Secondary School Brass Band Association (NSSBBA), Sierra Brass Multimedia, Musicians' Network Blog, Creigh's Multimedia Drift, WeBlog232, friends and all sympathizers for your love and support during such a difficult period. It has been nothing short of remarkable.
In the face of grief, we stood as one. We rose in honour of our beloved sister, surrounding her with the dignity, love, and farewell she truly deserved. In doing so, we reflected the very essence of true sisterhood: a bond not merely spoken of, but lived, demonstrated, and deeply felt.
Your sacrifices, your presence, and your steadfast solidarity have powerfully affirmed the strength of the family we share. You carried one another, upheld the legacy of our band, and reminded us all that even in loss, love remains our greatest anchor.
Your generosity, whether great or small, played a significant role in ensuring a dignified and honourable farewell. We are equally grateful to our senior members who, in diverse ways, stepped in to ease the burden of logistical arrangements, your leadership, guidance, and quiet acts of service did not go unnoticed.
Special mention of our Percussion Section, who, in the midst of personal loss, rose with remarkable strength and unity. In honour of one of your own, you stood tall, gave selflessly, and upheld the rhythm of resilience and love within the band. Your special contribution, courage, sacrifice, and unwavering commitment during this time will forever be remembered and deeply cherished.
We also extend our sincere appreciation to our Tutors, whose guidance, presence, and support during this difficult period provided both strength and stability. Your mentorship goes beyond music, and your role in holding the band together in such a trying time is deeply valued and appreciated.
Even where the chords of love may have been strained or momentarily broken, this season has shown us that true bonds cannot be silenced. When touched by genuine care and unity, they find their way back into harmony resonating stronger, deeper, and more enduring than before.
We are truly grateful. God bless you all. 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
Sincerely,
The Leadership, St. Joseph’s Secondary School Brass Band

We were truly moved when our brother band, St Edward's secondary school brass band visited us to share their condolences. In moments like these, you realize that music is more than just notes and rhythms - it's about support and standing together through life's highs and lows.
The bond between us is built in shared passion and respect, that shines brightest in times of need. Thank you guys for all you do, it means the world to us.

Today’s practice session was filled with a mix of emotions. This evening, the Freetown Secondary School for Girls brass band walked in straight from an engagement to stand with us and offer their condolences.
That moment meant everything! 😭😭
It reminded us that beyond the uniforms, the rehearsals, and the performances, we are a community bound by respect, empathy, and shared passion. In a time of loss, they chose to show up, and this gesture will stay with us, forever!
This is more than music, this is sisterhood. 🫶🏾 We are grateful, we are strengthened, and we carry on together.
Rest in Peace, Desmonda. 🕊
