Our campus was a stunning tapestry of heritage, with students and staff dressed in breathtaking African attire and the bold colours of the national flag. The energy was electric from the moment the first drumbeat echoed through the halls.

The campus was buzzing with energy on Friday, 17th April, as our students showcased their incredible scientific inquiries! This year’s fair highlighted a remarkable journey of discovery, with projects evolving in complexity and depth across every year group.

From our youngest learners to our secondary researchers, the level of inquiry was truly impressive:

Nursery & Lower Primary: Our youngest scientists explored the basics of the natural world with vibrant sensory models, demonstrating concepts like plant growth and the wonders of colour mixing.

Upper Primary: Projects took a step up with interactive physical models, where students explored renewable energy and simple machines with hands-on demonstrations.

Our Choithram International School students recently swapped their pens for clay! We spent an incredible few days at the Lettie Stuart Pottery School, diving headfirst into the rich heritage of Sierra Leonean craftsmanship.

Scientific Discovery: Students explored the raw materials, learning exactly how earth is transformed into durable, beautiful art.

The Master’s Touch: From “wedging” to the rhythmic spin of the potter’s wheel, they followed the traditional process step-by-step.

Hands-On Creation: The best part? Everyone became a creator! Our students crafted their very own custom pots, mugs, and bowls. ☕🏺

The halls were a sea of vibrant traditional wear and party outfits as our community came together in the spirit of sharing and joy.

Teacher Takeover:The energy reached a fever pitch when our teachers took to the stage for a powerful Dabke—a traditional Middle Eastern folk dance that had everyone cheering! 👏💃

Bon Appétit: Students transported us to a Parisian café with a charming role-play of a restaurant, demonstrating their growing fluency. 🥐☕

Inspiration: We paused for a “Sagesse du Jour” (Thought for the Day) shared entirely in French.

Zumba en Français: We proved that language learning is active! The school broke a sweat with a high-energy Zumba session set to rhythmic French music. 🎶🕺

No celebration is complete without a delicious bite! To tie our themes together, every student and staff member enjoyed a special treat of buttery croissants and refreshing apple juice, adding a sweet touch to our cultural journey. 🥤

On March 6th, we had the privilege of hosting Mr. Walid Bahsoon, CEO of Premier Enviro Solutions, who showed our Lower Secondary students that the plastic bottle you discard today could literally be the foundation of the house you live in tomorrow. 🏠

From business insights to brave service, the interactive sessions sparked so many "aha!" moments. It was heartwarming to see our students’ faces light up as they discovered the endless possibilities waiting for them in the future.

A Valentine’s Day to Remember at CIS! ❤️🌍

What an incredible day of flavors, culture, and community! On Saturday, 14th February 2026, the Choithram International School campus was transformed into a global village for our Food Festival and Cultural Fair. 🥘✨

Beyond the delicious international cuisines and vibrant performances, this event carried a deeper mission. We are thrilled to share that this was a 100% Charity Fundraiser. Every ticket sold and every dish sampled, contributed to our goal of giving back—proving that the CIS heart beats for those in need.

One of the most moving highlights was our unique "Love for Learning" station. 📝 Instead of just cards and candy, our parents, teachers, and students filled the board with notes of gratitude, celebrating the bonds that make our school a true family.

Thank you to everyone who attended, cooked, performed, and donated. You didn’t just celebrate diversity; you turned love into action!

🏅 Track & Triumph – CIS Sports Day 2026 🏃‍♀️

Choithram International School proudly hosted Track & Triumph – Sports Day on 24th January at the school grounds, and what an energetic and joyful day it was!

With student participation across Early Years, Primary, and Lower Secondary, the campus was filled with excitement, team spirit, and determination. Our Early Years students delighted everyone with their fun races and cheerful enthusiasm. Primary Years students actively participated in a range of track events and games, showing great sportsmanship. Our Lower Secondary students showcased their athletic skills in events such as shot put, javelin throw, and discus throw, along with sprint races across all levels, keeping the crowd cheering throughout the event.

We were especially thrilled by the strong presence and active participation of our parent community, whose support and involvement made the event even more vibrant and meaningful.

A true celebration of fitness, teamwork, and school spirit — Track & Triumph 2026 was a tremendous success! 🌟
