Olinda-Joe Company Ltd

Olinda-Joe Company Ltd we are an Educational and Mining Institution Education in Sierra Leone is characterized by limited access even though improved education is a basic human right.

The provision of Education to the children and youth of Sierra Leone is a necessary precondition for the socio-economic recovery at all levels of society. Only 13% of Sierra Leoneans have access to improved educational facilities, and only 37% (mostly children and youth) have access to education. It is believed that access to good educational facilities for a developing country like Sierra Leone of whom about 70% of the population live in rural communities is necessary to improve health, reduce poverty and increase production for sustainable growth and development. Despite efforts by the government and NGO’s, to access quality education has not improved since the end of the country’s civil conflict in 2002 stagnating and even declining in the rural communities. Prior to the civil conflict, progress made earlier to improve on education was disrupted as educational infrastructure fell into disrepair and damaged institutions broke down and access to quality education declined tremendously leaving rural communities which constitute more than half of the population vulnerable and resulted in increase poor facilities.
