On the Hillside, 120 Years Ago

On the hillside, years long past,
An institution was built to last.
A cradle of wisdom, shining bright,
Where dreams took flight into the light.

Leaders emerged from its noble walls—
Doctors, lawyers, pharmacists, nurses, nurse practitioners,
Politicians, accountants, entertainers, hospitality’s best,
All passed through here .

The first Prime Minister began his stride,
A legacy of hope, Sierra Leone’s pride.
For 120 years, through each endeavor,
This institution has guided us ever.

Happy 120th anniversary, to the beacon of hope,
Preparing us for life’s path below.
On this hillside, where greatness was born,
We honor the past and face the dawn.
