With hearts full of gratitude to God, the Sierra Leone Fellowship of Evangelical Students (SLEFES IPAM) successfully held its annual Family Retreat under the theme "God's love has been poured into our hearts Romans 5 : 5" from 19th to 23rd May 2026 at the Mende Women, Abuja, Hastings, Freetown.
The retreat brought together students, alumni, and friends of the fellowship for a period of spiritual growth, fellowship, learning, and recreation. Throughout the week, participants were richly blessed through impactful teachings delivered by various speakers on topics relevant to Christian growth and leadership.

Each session challenged participants to deepen their relationship with God, develop Christ-like character, and prepare themselves for effective service both on campus and beyond.
Activities
The retreat was not only spiritually enriching but also filled with exciting recreational activities. Participants were divided into four houses: Faith, Love, Hope, and Grace, which competed in various games and sporting activities. These events promoted teamwork, healthy competition, and strengthened the bond among members.
Night Celebration
One of the most memorable moments of the retreat was the Dinner Night, which was chaired by an Associate Bro. Santigie Alpha. The evening was filled with laughter, entertainment, and fellowship. Activities included:

The event provided an excellent opportunity for members to relax and celebrate God's goodness together.
Ceremony
The retreat concluded successfully on Saturday with words of encouragement and exhortation delivered by Prezo Emmanuel Thomas. He challenged members to remain steadfast in their faith, apply the lessons learned, and continue walking in God's purpose.
As we reflect on this wonderful gathering, we thank God for His presence, protection, provision, and the lives that were impacted throughout the retreat. We also appreciate all speakers, associates, and members whose contributions made the event a success.
