The president speech on the school 59th year celebration
On behalf of my humble self I want to register a wonderful good afternoon to all of us for witnessing the school 59th year anniversary, today we celebrate our Foundation Day. This is a special day when the entire school family has a chance to reflect not only the beginnings of the school and its founders, but also on the significant development since the school inception.
*But alas the global pandemic and the strain relationship between the executive and head of the school did not permit us to celebrate our school 59th year anniversary*.
It is a day set aside to celebrate our history and revisit and reconnect with the continuing journey of the school. We celebrate the joy of learning as we develop in mind, body and spirit, and we celebrate the bond that we share with past and present members of SOPA
We also give thanks for the developments undertaken since the last Foundation Day celebration. These include but not limited to building of a market stall, changing of blackboards in all the classes, provision of giants dustbin to improve sanitation, buying of band uniforms by Mr Andrew Jaiah Kaikai, er****on of the school hall by Honorable Ibrahim Tawa Conteh.
As executive we have struggled and faced a lot of challenges ranging from poor relationship between the executive and the school heads, the land saga which from intelligence has to do with the minister's visit to the school, fencing of the school compound without our knowledge a mandate giving to us by the school board, poor sitting accommodation, leaked and dark classrooms,no water supply, indiscipline at its highest peak from both teachers and pupils, poor code of dressing, poor performance in public exams to name but a few.
The school has been successful in creating talents in different parts of the society in the roles of engineers, doctors, artists, actors, and politicians. This achievement is possible only with the capable teac
