AI PROFESSIONAL COLLEGE CELEBRATES EXCEPTIONAL STUDENTS' VICTORY IN SIERRA LEONE'S TOP 50 MOST INFLUENTIAL STUDENTS 2023

On the 11th of November 2023 - The AI Professional College is delighted to announce the outstanding achievement of four exceptional students who have been recognized as Sierra Leone's Top 50 Most Influential Students for the year 2023 by the Girl Pikin 4 Betteh Foundation Girl Pikin 4 Betteh Foundation . These remarkable individuals have not only brought honour to our institution but have also showcased the calibre of talent and commitment that defines AI Professional College.

The distinguished awardees are:

The award, which was determined by 80% based on their activities and 20% through voting, serves as a testament to their dedication and positive influence. On the 28th of October 2023, the AI Professional College Student Union Government was honored to attend the grand launch of this year's AYV Miss University 2023 at the Radisson Blu Conference Hall. Our delegation, including President Mohamed Ishmael Fofanah, Vice President Madam Khadija Kubra Kamara, and the Minister of Education and Academic Development Abdul Rahman Sahid Kamara, had the privilege of representing both the college and the general student body.

The AYV Miss University event is a highly anticipated annual gathering that celebrates the intelligence, talent, and grace of young women from various educational institutions across Sierra Leone. Today, the AI Professional College Student Union Government, represented by *President Mohamed Ishmael Fofanah, Minister of Foreign Affairs Joshua Timotope, Adviser to the President Alimamy Conteh, and AI Pro NUSS Rep Asmiru Humper*, played a pivotal role in the launch of the Sierra Leone Students' Loan Scheme (SLOAN-SL) at the prestigious Bintumani Conference Hall.

This momentous occasion saw our delegation engaging with the esteemed Minister of Economic Development of the Republic of Sierra Leone and the Minister of Higher and Tertiary Education of the Republic of Sierra Leone. Together, we marked the beginning of a transformative initiative designed to foster human capital development in our beloved nation.

SLOAN-SL, which officially commenced today, stands as a testament to the commitment of the government of Sierra Leone to provide equal educational opportunities for every university and college student. This groundbreaking scheme is not limited to any specific institution; it is open to both private and public educational institutions, ensuring that every student has a chance to thrive.

Yesterday, Wednesday 10th May 2023, the President, Mohamed Ishmael Fofanah Muhammad Ismail Al-Amin Fofanah together with the Vice President Madam Kubra Kamara, and other cabinet members on an official invitation joined the Building the Nation Campaign Team to pay a visit at the Sierra Leone Peace Museum at the Special Court for Sierra Leone.
The visitation was geared towards engaging school-going pupils and youth of our country to obey the Rule of law and uphold the peace of this land as we approach our election.
However, we want to use this opportunity to preach peace to the AI Professional College Students because the PEACE we want as a Nation is in our hands.

On behalf of the AI Professional College Students' Union Government, I would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to all those who participated in the Peace Summit hosted yesterday in collaboration with the Building the Nation campaign team and partners. It was a remarkable event that brought together student leaders from various universities and colleges to deliberate on the critical theme of promoting peace and national cohesion before during and after the 2023 Election.

We extend our sincere appreciation to the organizers of the summit for their outstanding effort in putting together such an insightful and thought-provoking event. Your dedication and commitment to ensuring the success of the summit is highly commendable, and we cannot thank you enough for your contribution.

We also want to thank all the student union leaders from different universities and colleges who took the time to participate in the summit. Your input and ideas were invaluable in shaping the discussions and identifying actionable steps that we can take as students to promote peace and national cohesion before, during, and after the 2023 Election.
