๐How Champions Are Made๐
Author : FRANCIS FOMBA SESAY
Inspired by Apostle Joshua Selman
In a world where frustration, depression, and exhaustion are all too common, many are kept from stepping into their God-given purpose. But it's in these very struggles that champions are forged. Letโs dive deep into understanding how champions are made, drawing strength and inspiration from God's word.
Under Severe Attack ๐
Many believers feel deeply discouraged due to:
1. Unanswered Prayers
2. Unfruitful Spiritual Lives
Satanโs attacks have a clear goal:
1. To Destroy Your Confidence in God and question the integrity of His word.
2. To Instill Fear. Overcoming fear is monumental, opening the door to conquering many other spirits.
The Futility of Worry ๐ญ
As you rise in faith, you may attract the attention of hell. Remember, if Moses had not grown, he wouldnโt have become a deliverer. Your potential is a threat to the enemy. Satan aims to challenge your faithfulness, especially when immediate results arenโt seen. This creates vulnerability, raising doubts about Godโs faithfulness.
Rising Above the Attacks ๐
Despite the hardships, hold firm to your belief in God. Fear manifests in various formsโfinancial, marital, academic, and parentingโbut Jesus is still on the throne, and our convictions remain unshaken. Reject fear. You may not know what the future holds, but you know who holds the future. God has not given us a spirit of fear.
Never find fault in God, even when your expectations arenโt met. Itโs easy to forget His faithfulness during tough times. Remember, though He slays me, yet will I trust Him. Survive the betrayals, the pain, the nakedness, and the shame.
The Reality of Spiritual Warfare ๐ก๏ธ
Naming the name of Christ makes you a prime target for Satan. Like Mordecai and Esther faced palace intrigues, we too face spiritual battles. After Jesusโ fasting, the first encounter was with Satan. Satan may leave for a season but will return. This is the reality of life: the thief comes uninvited. He targets every family and individual, moving swiftly. When your life glorifies God, expect Satanโs interference.
In moments of deep despair, like contemplating su***de, know that life can push you to extremes. Yet, find strength in God. When faced with betrayal, broken promises, or unfulfilled prayers, recognize that life challenges us. Sometimes, our situations seem like dead bodiesโunresponsive despite fervent prayers. Life can be harsh, and Satanโs attacks seem powerful because they are real.
Embracing the Process ๐ฅ
Eagles renew their strength by enduring harsh conditions. Similarly, we grow stronger through prolonged trials. The path to glory includes enduring the cross. Champions understand the value of the process. Godโs confidence in us often manifests through our challenges. There are levels of glory reserved for those who endure. Success requires climbing mountains and crossing deserts. We come this far by grace, not luck. Behind every triumph are sacrifices and sleepless nights. True champions know the pain behind the glory.
Abrahamโs willingness to sacrifice Isaac was his price for becoming the father of many nations. When you reach the end of yourself, let Jesus take over.
Keys to Survive and Thrive ๐
1. Never Lose Your Joy:
- Joy is your strength (Philippians 4:4, Nehemiah 8:10).
- Can you praise God even when facing loss or unfulfilled expectations? Joy sustains you through tears and pain.
2. Engage in Strategic Prayer:
- Real victory comes through prayer, often in solitude (James 5:13, Psalm 34:4-7).
- Rise above sleep and pray at night. Become the priest of your destiny. This is the worst time to be prayerless (Psalm 125).
3. Harness the Power of Prophecy:
- Speak life into your circumstances (Numbers 14:28, Psalm 138:8, Psalm 3, Genesis 32, Proverbs 3:5).
- Stand at the dawn of a new day and declare favor and influence.
Scriptural Assurance ๐
Reflect on these scriptures for strength:
- John 16:33
- 2 Corinthians 4:17
- James 1:1-4
- Isaiah 43:1-2
Remember, the journey of faith isnโt smoothโthere are mountains and valleys. God uses these trials to refine us, like the making of oil, which involves a process. True anointing comes through enduring trials.
