Today, we proudly unveil and recognize Andrew Abu Kamara under the Community Impact & Advocacy Award category for his dedication to education, youth leadership, mentorship, and community service in Sierra Leone.

Andrew Abu Kamara is a passionate teacher, youth leader, and missionary-minded advocate committed to serving humanity through education, leadership, faith-based initiatives, and community development. Through his work and service, he continues to inspire young people and contribute positively to the growth and transformation of his community.

As an educator and mentor, Andrew remains dedicated to guiding and empowering young people through teaching, mentorship, and leadership development. His passion for education and youth empowerment reflects his strong belief in shaping responsible, disciplined, and purpose-driven future leaders.
Beyond the classroom, he actively participates in humanitarian and faith-based activities aimed at supporting vulnerable individuals, promoting community engagement, and encouraging positive social values within society.

Driven by service, compassion, and advocacy, Andrew Abu Kamara continues to use his voice and influence to create positive impact within his community and beyond.

Today, we proudly unveil and recognize David Yankay Sesay under the Community Impact & Advocacy Award category for his outstanding contribution to media, humanitarian service, entrepreneurship, and community development in Sierra Leone.

David Yankay Sesay is a Sierra Leonean journalist, entrepreneur, media personality, and humanitarian leader passionate about communication, leadership, and social impact. Through his dedication and professionalism, he continues to contribute meaningfully to media development, humanitarian initiatives, and youth empowerment within Sierra Leone.

He began his journalism career at Freetown Television, where he worked for several years before later transitioning to Liberty Online Television, gaining valuable experience in media presentation, broadcasting, communication, and public engagement.

David Yankay Sesay is the owner of SALONE360 MEDIA and the CEO of YANKAY’s Cleaning Services, reflecting his commitment to entrepreneurship, innovation, and professional excellence.

In addition to his entrepreneurial work, he serves as the Country Team Lead for the Mary Scott Charity Foundation, a USA-based humanitarian organization operating in Sierra Leone, where he actively supports charitable initiatives and community empowerment programs aimed at improving lives and supporting vulnerable communities.

He also serves as the Strategic Communications Director for IBTK Foundation Sierra Leone, playing a vital role in organizational communication, media relations, and advocacy.
Currently, David Yankay Sesay works at Africa Global Logistics Freetown Terminal as a Control Room Supervisor, where he oversees operational coordination and monitoring with professionalism and leadership.

Through his hard work, leadership, humanitarian engagement, and dedication to service, David Yankay Sesay continues to inspire many young people and contribute positively to national development and community transformation in Sierra Leone.

Today, we proudly unveil and recognize Mr. Emmanuel Kailie Ellie under the Community Impact & Advocacy Award category for his remarkable contribution to education, community leadership, and youth development in Sierra Leone.

Mr. Emmanuel Kailie Ellie is a dedicated teacher, school administrator, and community leader born in Waterloo, Western Area Rural District. He pursued his secondary education at Peninsula Senior Secondary School in Waterloo from 1995–1997 before continuing at Ahmadiyya Muslim Senior Secondary School in Kissy, Freetown from 2000–2004.

In pursuit of professional and academic advancement, he furthered his studies at LICSAL College of Business Administration, Port Loko Teachers College, and Freetown Teachers College, now known as Freetown Polytechnic.

With over 18 years of teaching experience, Mr. Emmanuel Kailie Ellie has dedicated his life to nurturing and mentoring young people through education. He currently serves as a teacher and school manager at one of the leading schools known for producing students of high academic standards, discipline, and leadership.

Beyond his work in education, he is also the Founder and Chairperson of the Cooperative Women For Progress and Development in Monkey Bush, Waterloo — an organization committed to supporting women empowerment, community development, and social support initiatives.
As an educator, mentor, leader, and family man, Mr. Emmanuel Kailie Ellie continues to impact lives positively through education, leadership, and community service.

Today, we proudly unveil and recognize Monica Adama Samura under the Community Impact & Advocacy Award category for her outstanding contribution to youth advocacy, girls’ empowerment, and community development in Sierra Leone.

Monica Adama Samura is a dedicated student, youth advocate, and emerging development professional passionate about social transformation, community empowerment, and the protection of vulnerable groups within society.
She is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science (Honours) Degree in Geography and Environmental Management at Ernest Bai Koroma University of Science and Technology (EBKUST), where she continues to demonstrate academic dedication and leadership.

Driven by her strong passion for advocacy and social justice, Monica is actively committed to ending child marriage and addressing harmful practices affecting girls and vulnerable communities. Through awareness raising, education, and youth engagement, she continues to advocate for safer, more inclusive, and empowered communities.

Professionally, Monica serves as a Program Assistant at BRAC NGO under the AIM Project, contributing to initiatives focused on improving lives, supporting vulnerable communities, and strengthening sustainable development outcomes.

In addition, she is the Founder and Team Lead of Girls for a Reason Movement (GRM), a youth-led organization dedicated to advocating for the rights, empowerment, and wellbeing of girls while addressing social issues affecting their future and development.

Through her academic journey, professional experience, leadership, and advocacy work, Monica Adama Samura continues to inspire young people and contribute meaningfully to community transformation and youth empowerment in Sierra Leone.

Today, we proudly unveil and recognize Lydia K. Tucker under the Community Impact & Advocacy Award category for her remarkable contribution to climate advocacy, youth empowerment, media advocacy, social justice, and community development in Sierra Leone.

Lydia K. Tucker is a dynamic leader, journalist, Climate Change Ambassador, entrepreneur, and social activist passionate about creating positive change through advocacy, media, and youth engagement. With a background in Business Administration and Mass Communication, she continues to use her skills and platform to empower young people and amplify important social issues.

She is the Executive Director of LYDIA NETWORK, a media and advocacy organization committed to amplifying the voices of young people on gender equality, climate action, Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR), and other pressing social issues. Through storytelling, media engagement, advocacy campaigns, and community outreach, the organization promotes inclusive development and empowers young people, especially young women, to become active leaders and changemakers within their communities.

Professionally, Lydia has worked with several television stations and currently serves as Deputy Communication Director for Youth Climate Action Network (YCAN) Sierra Leone, Youth and Communications Officer at PPASL, and Media and Communication Officer at APSUD SL. She also holds leadership positions within various organizations and networks focused on communication, leadership, entrepreneurship, and youth development.

Lydia has led and supported impactful initiatives addressing climate change, plastic pollution, youth empowerment, gender equality, and SRHR advocacy. Her active involvement in local and international development platforms continues to strengthen youth participation and community engagement in sustainable development and climate governance.

Her dedication and outstanding leadership have earned her several recognitions, including being named one of the Most Influential Women in the Western Area Rural District 2025, receiving national recognition from the Sierra Leone Nursing Students’ Association (SLeNSA), and receiving the Women in Excellence Award 2026 in commemoration of International Women’s Day.
As a talented poet, writer, and storyteller, Lydia K. Tucker continues to inspire many young people through her creativity, advocacy, leadership, and commitment to building a more just, inclusive, and sustainable society.

Today, we proudly unveil and recognize Khadijah Fuad Kabia under the Community Impact & Advocacy Award category for her outstanding contribution to youth empowerment, climate advocacy, leadership development, and community engagement in Sierra Leone.

Khadijah Fuad Kabia is a Sierra Leonean youth advocate, public speaker, and emerging development practitioner currently pursuing studies in Agricultural Economics at Njala University. She is widely recognized for her dedication to advancing youth participation, sustainable development, climate action, and inclusive community dialogue.

She currently serves as an HSC Youth Ambassador and has actively contributed to several youth-centered initiatives focused on policy engagement, peacebuilding, climate advocacy, and social transformation. Through her leadership and advocacy efforts, she continues to champion the voices of young people, particularly in areas relating to education, civic participation, gender inclusion, and sustainable development.
Khadijah has demonstrated exceptional leadership and communication skills through moderating high-level discussions and engaging with national and international stakeholders on issues affecting young people and communities. Her participation in youth-led policy conversations and development platforms reflects her passion for fostering collaboration and creating meaningful social impact.

As a passionate advocate for environmental sustainability, she remains actively involved in climate action and community-based initiatives that promote environmental awareness, resilience, and youth participation in green development. Her work continues to inspire young people to become responsible leaders and active contributors to national progress.

Her career has been deeply rooted in promoting empowerment, leadership, and the advancement of vulnerable groups, especially women and girls.

She currently serves as the Executive Director of The Dharma Tribe Company, where her leadership is guided by professionalism, strategic vision, and a strong commitment to service and social transformation.

Kadiatu began her advocacy journey with the Girls Empowerment Network Sierra Leone (GEN-SL), where she actively championed the rights, empowerment, and development of girls and young women. She further expanded her impact through her work with the Women in Crisis Movement, focusing on the protection, support, and advancement of women in vulnerable situations.

Today, we proudly unveil and recognize Steven Mustapha Sannoh under the Community Impact & Advocacy Award category for his outstanding contribution to education, mentorship, leadership, and community development in Sierra Leone.
Steven Mustapha Sannoh is a dedicated teacher, educationist, school administrator, and professional trainer who has devoted his life to promoting quality education and empowering young people through teaching, leadership, and mentorship.

He completed his secondary education at Peninsula Secondary School before furthering his studies at Ernest Bai Koroma University of Science and Technology (EBKUST) in Port Loko, where he obtained both the Teacher Certificate (TC) and Higher Teacher Certificate (HTC). He later pursued a Bachelor’s Degree in Education and Political Science at Freetown Polytechnic, demonstrating his strong commitment to academic and professional growth.

Professionally, he serves as the Principal of Destiny Grace Academic Home Leone at Mabrown, where he continues to provide leadership, discipline, mentorship, and quality educational guidance to students and teachers alike.
In addition to his role as a principal, Steven also serves as a Phonics Facilitator and In-Service Trainer, supporting teacher development and improving literacy education through training programs focused on effective teaching methods and classroom management.

Through his passion for education and community service, Steven Mustapha Sannoh continues to inspire students, empower teachers, and contribute meaningfully to youth development and educational advancement within his community and beyond.

Children Podium Network Advocacy Sierra Leone is a child-focused and youth-centered advocacy organization committed to promoting the rights, welfare, participation, and development of children and young people across Sierra Leone. Her Voice is a female-led non-governmental organization established through community dialogue among young women and girls who shared a common vision of ending violence against women and girls. The organization serves as a platform committed to amplifying the voices of young women and girls while ensuring that their rights are protected, respected, and visible within society.

With a vision of creating a Karene District where women and girls live free from all forms of violence and are empowered to reach their full potential, Her Voice continues to champion advocacy, awareness raising, education, and community action against Sexual and Gender-Based Violence (SGBV).

Through its programs and initiatives, the organization actively works to educate communities, empower women and girls, and promote safe and inclusive environments where young women can thrive, lead, and contribute positively to society.

Today, we proudly unveil and recognize the Planned Parenthood Association of Sierra Leone (PPASL) for its outstanding contribution to sexual and reproductive health, youth empowerment, gender equality, and community wellbeing in Sierra Leone.

Established in 1959, PPASL is one of Sierra Leone’s leading non-political and nonprofit organizations dedicated to improving access to Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) services, especially for women, girls, young people, and underserved communities.
The organization continues to provide essential health services and advocacy in areas including maternal healthcare, antenatal and post-natal care, HIV counselling and testing, family planning, prevention and treatment of sexually transmitted infections (STIs), and prevention of sexual and gender-based violence (SGBV).

PPASL works tirelessly to ensure that women, men, and young people have access to quality, affordable, and inclusive reproductive health services while promoting dignity, equality, and human rights for all.

Through community outreach, youth engagement, advocacy, health education, and partnerships, PPASL continues to empower vulnerable communities and improve the quality of life of thousands of people across Sierra Leone.
