At Tomflorie Academy, 2025 Field Trips did not only focus on Hospitality Centers but also on Food Production Centers. So, we had the privilege to visit Kobeibu Village Hotel, Sierra Bo Gari Factory and Benimix Food Factory in the city of Bo in the Southern Region of Sierra Leone. It was quite enlightening especially at the Food Production Centers, leaving the students aspiring for greater heights in entrepreneurship. Every year, a school field trip is organised to allow students travel to a location outside the regular classroom environment. The objectives of these trips are to provide students with practical learning experiences exposing them to the real-world applications of their studies. Studies at Tomflorie Academy currently include Catering, Tourism, Hairdressing and Housekeeping and Event Decor.
Last year we visited Wusum Hotel in the Northern Region. This year 2025, in the second week in April our field trip took us to Bo City in the Southern Region of Sierra Leone. Three places of interest visited were, Kobeibu Village Hotel, Sierra Bo Gari Factory and Benimix Food Company. TOMFORIE ACADEMY IN THE SOUTHERN REGION
Last year's out of town field trip saw us at Wusum Hotel in the Northern Region in Makeni City. This year, 2025, we were in the Southern Region in Bo City over the weekend of Thursday 10th April to Saturday 12th April. It was quite enlightening as we visited some places of interest. Watch out for the stories.

Tomflorie Academy remains very grateful to Mdm. Francess Stevens, CEO, FRANCESSCA's Restaurant (in a shot with Hannah Tengbeh) for your kind gesture to donate two awards in this year's Graduation and Awards Ceremony. One award was donated to the Best Catering Student and the other to The Best Student 2024. Thank you so much. The meal was sumptuous and the ambience in the restaurant was something to write home about. Indeed there's beauty in simplicity. Keep up the excellent standards.

Here's the final show down of our best student 2024 as Miss Hannah Tengbeh was treated to a lunch for two sponsored by FRANCESCA's Restaurant at Rasmusson Street, Brookfields, Freetown.

A cross section of students of Tomflorie Academy was ably represented at the "World Tour Guides Day Celebration" hosted at the Sierra Leone Peace and Cultural Monuments Museum today, 20th February 2025. The event was hosted by National Association of Certified Tour Guides and its partners with the theme, " Tourists Guides, Ambassadors of Peace. The celebration continues with hiking to Tacugama Chimpanzee Sanctuary at Regent Village, Sierra Leone.

To God be the glory. The event was a huge success. We thank God.
