Confucius Institute at USL

Confucius Institute at USL Confucius Institute at the University of Sierra Leone was established in September 2012.

It is a Chinese language teaching institution established by the joint co-operation of the University of Sierra Leone and Gannan Normal University in China. In 2019, through the mutual co-operation and efforts of both Universities, Confucius Institute was successfully able to introduce the Bachelor of Arts（Honours） in Chinese Degree course at the University of Sierra Leone Fourah Bay College, which currently belongs to the Faculty of Arts/Linguistics Department. Since its establishment, Confucius Institute at the University of Sierra Leone has always been focusing on teaching Chinese and promoting the mutual learning and Cultural exchange between China and Sierra Leone. So far, it has trained and produced thousands of Chinese language learners across the country, most of whom were excellent students who won scholarships for further studies in China, and upon returning home, became employed officials of various Institutions, organizations, Chinese Companies, senior lawyers, university Lecturers, and senior corporate translators.

塞拉利昂大学孔子学院由中外语言交流合作中心与塞拉利昂大学共建的非营利性教育机构，塞拉利昂大学孔子学院的中方合作院校为赣南师范大学。塞拉利昂大学孔子学院于2012年9月27日揭牌，并纳入了塞拉利昂大学本科教育体系。
